To be successful the candidate will need an inquisitive mind and the ability to cut through issues, identify route causes, question existing processes, and recommend process improvements to reduce future occurrences.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Provide appropriate and timely financial reports covering various metrics
Preparation of monthly management accounts
Support reporting requirements
Process standard and non-standard journals
Ensure that all accounts are reconciled monthly
Analyse and resolve any un-reconcilable items
Identify and address areas of improvement to facilitate a smarter close process
Reconciliation and reporting on factory accounts
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
Experience of management and financial accounting and reporting
Experience of working in a busy environment, providing accounting/reporting services to tight deadlines
Worked independently to prepare monthly reports and analysis
The successful candidate for the Assistant Accountant role:
As an Assistant Accountant you will be working within a large finance team with plenty of support and an opportunity to learn, develop and innovate. In terms of your day to day role you will be interacting with various departments across the company to ensure all the finance processes are understood and supported.
Assistant accountant will support the qualified accountant within the business finance function.
