Bicycle Workshop Technician

Our client is one of the UK's leading importers, distributors and retailers of fashionable German & European electric bicycles. Due to their continued success and growth, they are looking to recruit a Workshop Technician. Applicants should be capable of taking the lead in the busy bicycle workshop based at the Taunton store and assisting in supporting our client's national network of retailers.

Duties will be varied, including from time to time assisting with sales enquires, answering the phones and occasional delivery driving - as well as the regular working on bikes in the workshop.

Our client deals with various makes of electric bicycles but mostly the high-quality Bosch-powered electric bikes which use all market leading components.

To be considered for this role it is best if you have some experience servicing and maintaining electric bicycles - or if not then pedal bicycles and some other similar electrical/mechanical maintenance experience.

A City & Guilds or Cytech-2 qualification would be ideal but not essential. Further and additional training will be given.

The ideal candidate should be personable and enthusiastic, capable of working as part of a team or on one's own.

In return, our client is looking to pay an hourly rate of £9-12 depending on experience as well as a performance related bonus. This is a full time, permanent position.

If you have a proven background in cycle mechanics or relevant electrical engineering and like the sound of this opportunity, apply now.
