JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
You would be required to distribute and present pre-set work to the class and collect the work in at the end and return to the department. During the lesson you would be expected to keep pupils on task by integrating with them, checking progress and managing behaviour in the classroom. You would also need to ensure the safety of the classroom environment and of the pupils and enforce the school behaviour policy if required.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
No formal teaching qualification is required but previous experience working with groups of children is required. If you have experience in roles such as sports coach, scout/guide leader, football team coaching, youth work/ambassador work at University this role would be perfect. If you are currently training to become a teacher this would be invaluable experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

You will be working mostly with adult students at various stages in their education working towards a wide range of qualifications. You will be supporting the teaching and learning within the classroom and via online resources which are being utilised by the college to aid remote learning. The role include assisting with preparation of learning materials and the learning environment as well as supporting with our application and interview processes. You will be part of a supportive team and will develop your skills so that you are able to identify and assess barriers to students learning and recommend ways in which these can be overcome.

YOUR PROFILE

  • Develop an understanding of the specific needs of the students to be supported taking into account the type of support involved.
  • Work within an agreed system of supervision and within a pre-determined lesson framework, teach whole classes.

  • Assist students where appropriate in the proper use of learning aides and equipment and to ensure that they are available, including assisting students develop skills required for remote learning.

  • Carry out routine administrative tasks i.e. photocopying, basic record keeping, and good IT skills.
  • Assist with the development of appropriate resources to support learning.
  • Assist in identified areas, e.g. language, behaviour, reading, spelling, numeracy, handwriting/presentation, and the use of ICT.
  • Provide regular feedback about students to the teacher and other colleagues suggesting alternative methods of differentiation that respond to identified needs.
  • Prepare and clear up classroom materials and learning areas ensuring that they are available for use.

The School of Health Science & Social Care are recruiting a Healthcare Trainer to deliver apprenticeship provision with a large healthcare organization in the city. You will be responsible for the outcomes for a specified cohort of apprentices alongside ensuring all stakeholders receive exceptional customer service. To provide expert financial advice to the identified revenue and capital budget holders and their respective management teams on aspects of financial performance and regulation including monthly (as a minimum) performance review meetings or any other area as deemed appropriate by the Head of Group Financial Performance and Reporting. YOUR PROFILE

CCAB / CIMA qualified or qualified by experience in exceptional cases. Educated to degree level. Literacy and numeracy at Level 2 or equivalent. A minimum of 3 years’ post qualification experience. Has full command and use of relevant professional / technical knowledge and job related knowledge and skills. A minimum of 2 years’ experience of project funding including capital grant agreements. Familiar with Agresso Business World finance (Unit 4) package or comparable complex finance system. Experience of VAT compliance within a College. Knowledge of the College’s Financial Regulations and Financial Procedures. Effective knowledge of the collegeand an appreciation of the wider educational issues. Experience of using Microsoft Office systems and databases, (Word, Excel, Outlook etc) as an advanced user. Experience of operating in a large complex accounting environment with proven and demonstrable technical skills. Experience of the producing management reporting packs to challenging timescales. Experience of working with non-finance specialists to develop business plans and forecasts to challenging deadlines. Experience of managing restricted funds and the reporting requirements thereon (eg DLSF, ALF, Bursary funds). Experience of IFRS implementation in a complex environment. Experience of supporting non finance specialists to utilize their allocated financial resources to obtain best value for money. Experience of statutory audit in a complex environment. Liaison with external parties and interpretation of data requirements.
