Do you have experience of working in a school office in a senior administrative capacity? Are you fully conversant with SIMS or a similar School Information Management system? Randstad Education is currently recruiting for a Data Manager on behalf of a secondary school in Doncaster. This is a full-time temporary position starting in January 2021, and could be ongoing until Easter and beyond. Candidates MUST have previous experience of working in an educational establishment, as you will be expected to hit the ground running and deliver a high standard of work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a great opportunity to work as part of a committed and supportive office team.
Responsibilities could include:
- Producing reports on areas such as student progress, academy data requirements and statutory returns for the Principal
- Planning school timetable production, creating reports, school census returns, and analysing data on staff absence, school exclusions, student behaviour and so on
- Providing professional leadership and management of the department, including for example information and data management, admissions, and cover
- Co-ordination of examinations, including organisation of re-sits
- Working in partnership with teaching staff and the Senior Leadership Team to support data systems to attain excellence in standards of learning and achievement, promoting the school's learning objectives
- Ensuring the integrity and safety of all school data and systems, working closely with the School Business Manager
- Collaborating with colleagues across the whole school as well as key external partners, providing support to all staff on data management systems
As the successful applicant, you will have:
- Excellent administrative and ICT skills, including attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task
- Experience using SIMS (including FMS) or a similar software package within a data related position in a school, local authority or education company, as well as experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel
- Proven management experience in a senior level role
- Knowledge of the examinations procedure
- Be able to reach deadlines under pressure, and prioritise workload
- Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
- The ability to work with high levels of tact, confidentiality and discretion
- A patient approach towards working with children and adults alike

This school is looking for a full time teacher or English and Science and also a part time teacher of each subject. These roles will be online initially, and once the schools return you will be expected to go in.

We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring candidate to effectively lead and manage the SEND provision at a sixth form college in Doncaster. This is to cover a period of maternity leave starting in January 2021. You will lead on the vision, development and evaluation of the SEND provision as well as the day-to-day operations of managing the Study Support Team and staff timetabling, therefore excellent time management and organisational skills are required.
The successful candidate will have QTS and an understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and how this relates to an educational setting. You will be responsible for the identification of students with special educational needs and/or medical issues, co-ordinating annual reviews and Individual Education Plans and applying on-line for student access arrangements. Liaising with feeder schools, parents, students, staff and other Trust SENDCos and external organisations to ensure the best possible support for students, therefore excellent communication skills are essential for the role.

Duties and Responsibilities
Assist senior leaders with the strategic development and evaluation of SEND provision. Work collaboratively with SENDCos in other colleges in the Trust, on a half-termly basis, and senior leaders to support the review and development of Trust-wide SEND policies and systems. Manage a team of Study Support Tutors and timetabling of staff to support students. Supporting the identification of children with special educational needs and ensuring college records of students with SEND are up-to-date.
∙ Co-ordinate all Annual Reviews and reviews of Individual Education Plans etc where appropriate and attend/chair when necessary.
∙ Track and monitor the progress of students with SEND/medical needs.
∙ Ensure there is a high quality teaching and intervention in place for students with SEND and disseminate and monitor effective teaching and learning approaches to meet the needs of students with SEND. ∙ Liaise with other schools to ensure continuity of support and learning when transferring pupils with SEND and medical issues.
∙ Support the identification of students with health and medical needs, including how information is captured, acted upon and shared throughout the Trust.
∙ Be responsible for producing and publishing the SEND Information Report on the college website. ∙ Taking a lead on applying for student access arrangements on line, working with the Trust Exams Manager as appropriate.
∙ Contribute to and participate in relevant continuous professional development activities, including whole staff meetings/CPD.
∙ Liaise with the Local Authority regarding funding and specialist teacher support. ∙ Liaise with other providers and external agencies to support students and maximise resources made available.
∙ Brief and disseminate information regarding SEND and medical issues to relevant staff across the college. ∙ Have high expectations of young people including a commitment to ensuring that they can achieve their full educational potential and to ensure students are treated as unique individuals.
∙ Participate in all college open events, student interview evenings, parent/student consultation evenings, Welcome Evening and Enrolment events. These events primarily run during the evening and it is an expectation of the SENDCo role to attend. There may also be occasional meetings with the LA during the summer holiday period regarding student transition.
∙ Communicate effectively with students and colleagues and with parents/carers at appropriate times, conveying relevant information about attainment, objectives and progress.
∙ Attend network events with other providers, Secondary SENDCos and external organisations to maximise the opportunity for personal development and marketing of the college/Trust.
∙ Review and identify tailored provision appropriate to students with SEND.
