Job Responsibilities:

Requirements of the role:

Bridlington Dialysis Unit operates 12 haemodialysis stations, serving up to 31 patients, in partnership with Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust using only the latest equipment. Nursing is planned at a ratio of 1:4 patients.

This is a full time role of 37.5 hours a week. Current days are working various shifts between 6.30am to 6.00pm Monday/Wednesday/Friday and 6.30am to 12.30pm Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday.

The Role

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, specialist Occupational therapist to join the community team for adults with a Learning Disability in the East Riding of Yorkshire.

This post will be based at Alfred Bean Hospital, Driffield and will primarily work across the East Riding providing specialist assessment and interventions for individuals with a learning disability.

The Occupational Therapist will manage their own caseload to ensure safe, effective, responsive care is delivered.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, dynamic Occupational Therapy team working alongside Occupational Therapists in the Hull and East Riding CTLD’s and LD IST services.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a well established professional development and training group for Occupational Therapists working in adult learning disabilities. CPD needs will be identified and monitored through appraisal. Well defined supervision systems are in place.

Relevant clinical experience of working in the community at post-graduate level is essential. Dialysis nursing requires commitment and passion along with the skills and competencies to juggle the technical nursing aspect whilst giving holistic care. You will be working autonomously, responsible for the assessment of care needs and the development, implementation and evaluation of care for dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury.

Bridlington Dialysis Unit operates 12 haemodialysis stations, serving up to 31 patients, in partnership with Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust using only the latest equipment. Nursing is planned at a ratio of 1:4 patients.

Can you make learning dynamic and relatable? Can you improve your student's engagement in academia? Are you a teacher with QTS?

Tutors will support learning across a variety of subjects including English, Maths and the Sciences.
