Bachelors degree or equivalent relevant experience (+ 5 years)
An accounting or bookkeeping qualification and membership. Ideally with experience in a broad range of industries.
Expert understanding of UK Tax legislation and compliance
Understanding of software engineering and development practices preferable
Track record of working with geographically dispersed teams
Working knowledge of business process and analytical tools
Basic understanding of systems development lifecycles as it pertains to production support
Nice to have

How you will lead
Research, analyse, and document UK Tax regulatory and legislative changes to ensure that QuickBooks Small Business products are up to date. Ensure 100% compliance with features supported.
Be able to communicate UK tax legislation so it can be turned into easy to use software working with our engineering, design and product managements teams. Ensuring they understand the impact on our end users.
Ensure UK tax legislative and regulatory accreditation and e-file recognition is achieved on released and supported products.
Act as primary source for information for all questions regarding UK tax regulatory and legislative rules. Embedded with the product team
Developing the skills to prepare written or verbal presentations to other business teams to communicate any of the above.
Task plans for his/her own work that are independent of but related to broader work-plans.
Taxes to be supported include VAT, CIS, Income tax for Self-Assessment.

Tax Associate The Team Our London tax team works across all areas of commercial taxation and advises on transactions spanning a wide range of industries, as well as providing stand-alone tax advice. With the expansion of Assets under Management and the related expansion of international activities in various products and locations, the recruited individual will provide direct tax support to the International Tax Specialist and the International Tax Team based in London, and the wider tax team based in New York City.
Principal Responsibilities
· Prepare and perform reviews of all foreign related tax compliance requirements and provide tax support on audited financial statements, including liaising with internal accounting staff and external tax preparers.
· Perform tax research for the appropriate tax treatment focusing on international tax matters across Europe, Asia and the Americas,
· Provide responses to traders’ questions regarding the tax rules and tax requirements of foreign countries
· Assist in and liaise with external advisors when necessary on CBCR, FATCA and CRS matters, including registration and compliance, as well as BEPS-related issues.
· Assist in and liaise with external advisors when vetting new jurisdictions for PE risks, TSH provisions, treaty provisions, transfer pricing implications, establishing/closing offices, reviewing contractual arrangements for new IT/Server equipment, obtaining/renewing tax rulings.
· Assist in addressing tax issues related to employees in foreign locations, including expat tax issues, PE risks of traveling employees.
· Assist in foreign tax audits of management companies and funds

Qualifications/Skills Required
