Community Staff Nurse (Adult Nurse) – Reading.

Redlands is a 30 bedded ward, which is part of a ring fenced unit providing care for elective orthopaedic patients.

The successful candidate will have an interest in caring for orthopaedic patients, and will be focused on driving forwards enhanced recovery pathways, and improvements in nursing care.

You will be committed towards providing support for student nurses, as well as managing their own ongoing personal development.

Band 5 Staff Nurse (ICU)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our 17 bedded Intensive Care Unit for a caring, highly motivated and enthusiastic band 5 Staff Nurse.

Every day we strive to deliver excellent and compassionate care to our patients and this was recently validated by the CQC who rated ICU as good.

We are looking for a Registered Nurse who has acute nursing experience. No previous ICU experience is necessary.

Nurses new to ICU are supported by our dedicated practice education team and follow the National Competency Framework for Registered Nurses in Adult Critical Care. Your transition into critical care is also supported by a dedicated mentor and team leader who will ensure you have the support and guidance you require.

As a unit we offer the opportunity to care for a wide range of critically ill patients including complex elective surgery, trauma and medicine. We support our patients and families through valuable services such as ‘Rehabilitation after Critical Illness’, Bereavement Support and a Patient Support Group. We also have a well-recognised Urgent Care Research programme.

Sonning Ward is a 15 bedded gynaecology in-patient ward looking for highly motivated, innovative and enthusiastic band 5 nurses to join our team.

We care for emergency gynaecology and early pregnancy admissions in a fast-paced environment and pride ourselves in striving for excellence in patient experience.

We provide compassionate care for a variety of women, adopt a strong focus on patient safety, and have an excellent working relationship with the multi-professional teams with the collective aim of providing excellent patient care.

All new starters are provided with a period of induction, theoretical and ward-based learning opportunities, and have the support from a designated preceptor in practice.

We work closely with the practice education team who will also provide ward-based support to new staff members.

Band 5 Staff Nurse - Endoscopy Unit

The Royal Berkshire Endoscopy Unit is committed to delivering a high quality patient-focused service, is a well-equipped and modern department which specialises in a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for patients attending as day cases, in-patients and emergencies.

We are a JAG accredited unit and undertake bowel cancer screening as part of the National Screening Programme.

An opportunity has arisen for dynamic individuals willing to learn some highly skilled endoscopy techniques and actively assist in providing quality care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.

The post-holders will provide excellent individualised nursing care to patients attending the endoscopy unit from pre-assessment, support in the procedure rooms through to discharge.

In return, we offer you a flexible and motivating work environment and you will have full support of the Endoscopy Unit in providing both a clinical and competency based training programme (Jets Workforce).

In addition, the endoscopy unit consist of a multidisplinary team and we encourage all our staff to develop their clinical, managerial and leadership skills in a positive learning environment.
