A&E experience is advantageous but working in other acute settings (however broad) will also be considered. You will bejoining a team of over 260 national HCP's where we pride ourselves on continuously raising clinical standards,with development programmes accredited by Teesside University, including the opportunity to achieve The Faculty of Forensic and Legal Medicine’s Licentiate Award and / or PGCert in Advanced Nursing in Forensic Practice.

What’s involved:

  • Assessment & care of detainees and staff in custody suites.
  • Forensic sampling, including road traffic offence bloods.
  • Mental health and substance misuse assessments and management.
  • Providing substance misuse therapies whilst in custody.
  • Healthcare promotion, brief interventions & self-harm reduction.
  • Referrals and Signposting to support wider vulnerabilities the reduction of re-offending.
  • Working collaboratively with Liaison and Diversion colleagues to identify wider vulnerabilities.

You could be a good fit for this role if you:

  • Are a qualified Adult RGN or Paramedic with a real passion for developing your clinical and wider skills in an environment that is ever changing?
  • Have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience as an Adult RGN or Paramedic with PIN
  • Have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.

An exciting opportunity for a band 5 nurse to join a dynamic, motivated team of renal nurses who deliver a high standard of specialist care to inpatients and outpatients.

You will be working in a friendly and supportive environment providing comprehensive care and support to patients and relatives.


We currently have 27 stations running throughout the day with overnight provisions for patients requiring treatment overnight, providing care for more than 150 patients per week.


These posts are for qualified nurses who are interested in pursuing and developing a career within renal dialysis nursing.


As a Staff Nurse you will have preferably worked in an acute setting for a minimum of 6 – 12 months, and therefore have experience in acute patient care. This is an ideal opportunity for you to develop your knowledge and clinical skills in Haemodialysis nursing. You will be supported and trained under the supervision of our experienced and dedicated renal team.

A fabulous opportunity has arisen to join our Gerontology service on Ward 2B at The Liverpool University Hospital as a Staff Nurse. You will be working within a fabulous team of nurses and doctors looking after patients admitted following a variety of conditions within Gerontology and frailty.

There is an excellent team ethos with consultants, doctors, nurses and therapists working closely together to provide excellent care to patients.

The successful candidate will ideally have acute medical experience preferably within Gerontology as a student nurse or an existing staff nurse, and will be dedicated and proactive in ensuring high quality, evidence based care. However, we are keen to hear from those without experience in Gerontology and who wish to explore this diverse and fulfilling specialty.

You will be an individual who demonstrates excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and can work under pressure on a ward with a rapid turnover of acute patients. You will be required to demonstrate continuing professional development through evidence based practice.

We can offer you an individualised program of support in your induction to working within our unit and supported training with our clinical nurse educator. This will include a week long clinical preceptorship course for those new to the Trust. There will be opportunities for professional development depending upon individual needs.

An opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse on Ward 5x at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
Full time and part time hours will be considered and will involve working internal rotation from days to night shifts. The applicant is also expected to work bank holidays and weekends.

You will be working within a fabulous team of nurses, doctors and many members of the multidisciplinary team looking after patients on ward 9 . Ward 9 is located on the Broadgreen site as a specialised in sub acute medicine . There is an excellent team ethos with consultants, doctors, nurses and therapists working closely together to provide excellent care to patients.

The successful candidate will have acute medical experience preferably within Gerontology, and will be dedicated and proactive in ensuring high quality, evidence based care. You will be an individual who demonstrates excellent organisational and interpersonal skills and can work under pressure on a ward with a rapid turnover of acute patients. You will be required to demonstrate continuing professional development through evidence based practice.

We can offer you an individualised program of support in your induction to working within our unit and supported training with our clinical nurse educator. This will include a week long clinical preceptorship course for those new to the Trust. There will be opportunities for professional development depending upon individual needs.
