As the Electrical Design Engineer your responsibilities will include <ul><li> </li><li style="color:rgb( 51 , 51 , 51 );background:white;line-height:normal">Working with the wider project team to lead and develop cost-effective, efficient and innovative solutions to complex problems to create practical designs. </li><li> </li><li style="color:rgb( 51 , 51 , 51 );background:white;line-height:normal">Assess and evaluate any project risks and potential problems.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Delivering projects in a variety of stages of maturity, including Feasibility Studies, Concept Designs, FEED Studies, Value Engineering and Detailed Design. </li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal"> Preparation and development of Electrical deliverables such as Single Line Diagrams, cable calculations, cable block diagrams, plant layouts, cable routing, cable containment design, switchgear configurations philosophies and produce bill of materials/quantities for electrical systems. </li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal"> Working with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designs.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Liaising with Project Management staff to provide design services in line with project programme requirements.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Liaising with the Commissioning Manager to establish parameters for site testing requirements based on design specifications.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Finalizing and singing off designs before delivery.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Being the go-to technical and design expertise person for any support required in the development of projects.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">To prepare and review technical and non-technical reports.</li><li> </li><li style="color:rgb( 51 , 51 , 51 );background:white;line-height:normal">Assist in the technical and estimating element of preparation of tender and quotations from specification and drawings within defined time periods – In conjunction with the Procurement and civil estimating team, liaise with Sub-contractors and supplies to obtain the best available quotations.</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Evaluation and pricing of options and alternatives</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Completion of all company procedure documents and financial information for governance prior to submission of tender</li><li> </li><li style="color:black;background:white;line-height:normal">Produce formal handover documentation on accepted work.
