Requirements

Reporting to the Team Leader or Associate Director as a Principal Engineer you will provide design delivery on a variety of civils led multi-disciplinary projects within the rail environment. Essential Experience

Duties and Responsibilities

Job Role

Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Main Function

A Senior/Principal Consultant is responsible for undertaking project investigations with both a geotechnical and an environmental content as directed by the Project Manager – seeing the Project through from commencement to completion. All Project work must be carried out with due diligence, adhered to by the RSK procedures & completed within the given cost budgets and time scales agreed. Good communication is required to inform/liaise with the client periodically with updates & any issues raised. Responsibilities:

Highways Engineer, also looking to hear from Senior Highways Engineers, Senior Engineers, Design Engineers, Design Managers & Project Engineers
Location
Ideal for those located in and around Warrington, Manchester, Bolton, Sheffield, Stockport and Rochdale
Day rate
£30 - £35 per hour
Duration
Initial 3 month contract with scope to extend.

Project Information
Working as part of a dynamic design team, delivering resurfacing schemes. Successful applicant will be producing detailed designs for areas 1 and 2 maintenance schemes.
To be suitable for the position you must have
- Good working knowledge of DMRB
- Highways England major schemes experience
- Experience with Civils 3D, MX Road and AutoCAD
Although not essential it would also be advantageous if you have
- Chartered Status
- Detailed design experience.
Role Information
- Working on 'hands on' detailed designs
- Working on re-surfacing designs for schemes in the South West
- Working for a Tier one contractor as part of a dynamic design team

Description


We are looking for a Structural Engineer for a 3 months+ inside of IR35 contract in the Liverpool area (with opportunities to work from home), that will be on-going for the right person. The PAYE or Umbrella pay rate is negotiable, depending on experience.

Working as the successful Structural Engineer, you will be someone who can do calculations and prepare technical information for inclusion in tender documents. It would be an advantage if you can work on modifications or new-build projects such as maritime structures, civil infrastructure, bridges, gates, mooring facilities, jetties, quays, retaining walls. It is unlikely that experience of only buildings would be sufficient.

You will have excellent Structural Engineer experience, you may also be Chartered but this is not essential. Any recognised structural engineering software is fine; STAAD, TEDDS, or similar.

The client we are supplying this Structural Engineer to develops and implements major civil infrastructure plans and working as the successful Structural Engineer, you will help deliver a variety of on-going projects and enjoy outstanding on-going continuity of work.
