Canalys is looking for a Technology Market Analyst to be a part of the Mobility Research team, based in the UK, to contribute to Canalys' mobility industry research, including smartphones, PCs, wearables, IoT, and related industries. The individual must be results-oriented, hungry to drive innovation within the service, implement ideas, and work with team members to drive commercial success. The individual will be part of a globally dispersed team, and must be able to manage working with colleagues and senior executives from around the world.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supporting the Canalys mobility research agenda and conducting primary research with vendors and industry experts to acquire market insights to support clients’ decision making.
  • Creating and delivering research deliverables to clients (including quarterly market tracking data and forecasts, reports, webcast etc.) 
  • Presenting research insights to client regional or global teams.
  • Developing and broadening a research network in the EMEA region.
  • Contribute to global research engagements/projects, which may include conducting research interviews. 

 

Requirements

You are a 'numerically-inclined' storyteller who is passionate about consumer technology and curious about new business models in the technology industry. You understand the business of technology and are able to articulate your ideas effectively and with clarity. You are comfortable translating researched information into actionable insights that can help business leaders make decisions with confidence. You are a self-starter who loves working with small teams and are capable of mentoring junior members. 

 

Qualifications and skills 

  • Master's / Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, commerce and/or data science is preferred. 
  • A good understanding of the current and emerging technology market trends and how they might impact industry stakeholders. 
  • Good communication skills, as the role requires responding to client inquiry and addressing the press.  
  • Strong analytical skills, numerically inclined. Experience in data modeling and knowledge of Tableau, Python or R is not a must, but is a bonus. 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including ExcelPowerPoint and Word, are essential. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate leadership skills. 
  • Prior experience in market research is an added bonus. Exposure in parallel industries of technology, IT, or devices will also be given due weightage. 
  • Strong English language verbal and written skills are essential.  Fluency in other languages would be an advantage.

  • Increase the number of positive reviews and evaluation placements 
  • Maintain the profile of peer-review sites to ensure they accurately reflect Siteimprove's brand and messaging

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, computer and information sciences, or related field, or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

We are inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager - AML/KYC

In this role you will be responsible to conduct quality check on end to end KYC reviews for UK based bank for different type of entities. You will also work extensively with functional leaders in Financial Crime Risk Service line and support functions to maintain quality of the highest standard.

Responsibilities
  • Conducting quality check on completed KYC files as per established quality framework and meet the required agreed SLAs
  • Maintain accurate, organized and current compliance records and documentation in a manner consistent with the department’s needs.
  • Establish feedback loop between analyst and management
  • Ownership of and contribution to various high priority projects, working with hands on approach to ensure successful completion.
  • Assist in creating and present monthly dashboards, reports and business reviews
  • Review policies and procedures, regulatory compliance training for compliance with applicable laws and regulations including OFAC/ HMT, suspicious activity reporting and KYC regulations
  • Interpret evidence from multiple tools and systems to determine legitimacy of customer behavior across multiple products
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking incidents to ensure resolution occurs within the customer Service Level Agreement
  • Seek routine problems, largely through precedent and referral to general guidelines
Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum qualifications

  • Relevant experience required in quality check
  • CAMS certified will be preferred
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
  • Microsoft Office, internet, and digital literacy
Preferred qualifications
  • Experience in conducting business banking or institutional KYC for all type of client entities, like but not limited to individual, sole proprietor, partnership, trusts, private and public limited companies and collective investment schemes
  • End to end understanding of KYC operations from documentary and non-documentary verification as per CIP/CDD policy, Ultimate Beneficial Ownership (UBO) and Controllers IDV, nature of business, source of wealth / funds and customer screening against watchlist of Sanctions, PEP and adverse media
  • Ability to conduct and mentor resources to conduct detailed investigations using vendor and open sources to remediate compliance alerts
  • Ability to independently research, analyze, and recommend solutions to close open items and discrepancies with client
  • Reviewing transactions to establish utilization and source of fund as per expected activities
  • Outstanding analytical and investigative skills combined with the ability to navigate through ambiguity in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment
  • Excellent understanding of AML/KYC terminology
  • Should have experienced in using Actimize, RDC, Fortent, Norkom, Lexis Nexis, Bridger XG, SIEBEL and Dow Jones etc.
  • Good experience in MS-Office applications like Excel, Word, Power point, Outlook etc.

Canalys is looking for a Technology Market Analyst to be a part of the Mobility Research team, based in the UK, to contribute to Canalys' mobility industry research, including smartphones, PCs, wearables, IoT, and related industries. The individual must be results-oriented, hungry to drive innovation within the service, implement ideas, and work with team members to drive commercial success. The individual will be part of a globally dispersed team, and must be able to manage working with colleagues and senior executives from around the world.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Supporting the Canalys mobility research agenda and conducting primary research with vendors and industry experts to acquire market insights to support clients’ decision making.
  • Creating and delivering research deliverables to clients (including quarterly market tracking data and forecasts, reports, webcast etc.) 
  • Presenting research insights to client regional or global teams.
  • Developing and broadening a research network in the EMEA region.
  • Contribute to global research engagements/projects, which may include conducting research interviews. 

 

Requirements

You are a 'numerically-inclined' storyteller who is passionate about consumer technology and curious about new business models in the technology industry. You understand the business of technology and are able to articulate your ideas effectively and with clarity. You are comfortable translating researched information into actionable insights that can help business leaders make decisions with confidence. You are a self-starter who loves working with small teams and are capable of mentoring junior members. 

 

Qualifications and skills 

  • Master's / Bachelor's Degree with a specialization in business, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, commerce and/or data science is preferred. 
  • A good understanding of the current and emerging technology market trends and how they might impact industry stakeholders. 
  • Good communication skills, as the role requires responding to client inquiry and addressing the press.  
  • Strong analytical skills, numerically inclined. Experience in data modeling and knowledge of Tableau, Python or R is not a must, but is a bonus. 
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including ExcelPowerPoint and Word, are essential. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, and demonstrate leadership skills. 
  • Prior experience in market research is an added bonus. Exposure in parallel industries of technology, IT, or devices will also be given due weightage. 
  • Strong English language verbal and written skills are essential.  Fluency in other languages would be an advantage.
