Key accountability areas
Conduct regular and randomised searches on any staff or visitors within the site.
Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the site.
Ensure that any goods vehicles (deliveries or collections) entering or leaving the site are logged accurately on the relevant PC System.
Maintain a close liaison with Site contacts, other colleagues, CCTV Controllers and the National Security Manager in relation to any incidents.
To help support the reduction in accidents and H&S breaches and minimise the risks to employees and visitors.
Monitor, operate and communicate using all forms of equipment (Phones, intercoms, radios, email).
Assist in site evacuations by following the procedures outlined in the Fire Evacuation Plan.
Always maintain strict Data Protection (GDPR) standards, adhering to the policies and procedures put in place in relation to monitoring, recording, extracting and sharing of information.

The site is a National Fulfilment Centre & operates Warehousing and Distribution for several different Customers.
The site consists of a large Warehouse, Vehicle Yard, Fuel Station, Carpark and Office Space. All of which are to be patrolled on a regular basis.
Security Officers are to assist the site Management to ensure all persons are adhering to the H&S and Security processes. Any breaches should be logged and reported.
Security Officers must comply with all current legislation including the Data Protection Act, Computer Misuse Act and the Sites Codes of Practice.
A valid and in date SIA Guarding or Door Supervisor Licence will be required.

Working a 4 on / 4 off PATTERN 07:00 – 19:00 / 19:00-07:00

Job Summary:
As a security officer, you will be based close to the hospital entrance to monitor people going in and out. You will challenge anyone who is not a member of staff or a patients, make sure visitors have a reason to be in the hospital, ask official visitors to sign in and issue them with a pass, deal with any incidents which might threaten the security of staff and patients, where possible, diffuse potentially difficult situations, call in police or other emergency services if required, monitor CCTV, patrol the outside of the hospital including the grounds.
General responsibilities include the following. List not exhaustive.
• All Security Officers must be in possession of a valid SIA Guarding License (front line) and must clearly wear this at all times when on duty.
• All Security Officers must have a high level of communication skill sufficient to be competent to receive and relay accurate information & instruction over a radio (knowledge of formal radio voice procedure is not a requisite).
• All Security Officers must have a degree of physical fitness and robustness sufficient to be actively involved in the application of restraint when necessary and also to be able to spend prolonged periods of time on their feet (i.e. for site patrols, guarding duties, site-wide searches etc.).
• All Security Officers must be able to demonstrate behaviours consistent with the Trust’s Values and Behavioural Standards.
• A minimum of 2 years’ security experience in a public-facing role.
Please note, for this post, you must have your own stab vest and work boots, we cannot consider anycandidates without it.
Ideally you will also have but not essential:
• A valid SIA Public Space Surveillance (CCTV) License
• A clean UK driving license
• First aid responder training or similar
• NHS conflict resolution training and/or control & restraint training
