Skilled rail workers with many years of experience behind them can expect around £30k per year. Those running back-room operations, such as is the case with customer service jobs, will be on a salary that approximately matches this level. Seniors railway executives and directors of successfully performing train operating companies are commonly paid six-figure salaries.
