Provide high level advice and support to the Senior PM to resolve local issues and incidents, ensuring that decisions are made on sound technical grounds in line with best practice and required standards & timeframes.
Oversea and mentor the Assistant members of the team as required.
Work closely with the SPM of your team ensuring that they are given your full support on all project related matters.
Monitor progress of work, identify risks in the delivery of priorities and implement timely resolution of issues, to ensure appropriate reallocation of time, finance and effort and enhancement of the service.
Provide good quality management reporting on service delivery, to support the planning of operational work, inform business decisions and provide a sound basis from which to communication with and influence internal / external partners.

What You have to Offer
Previous Rail project delivery experience.
Design Management experience.
Experience of managing designs at feasibility stage.
Be familiar with NR GRIP processes.

We are seeking to appoint a Project Management Office (PMO) Analyst to join our team as we continue to roll out an innovative programme of technology enabled change and to develop and embed our risk management processes.
The PMO will be reporting directly to the Programme Manager - IT & Risk, and will have the opportunity to create, collate and manage the plans for a variety of project portfolios and services which are strategic for the charity. The PMO will support the Programme Manager in creating a Project Management office to ensure our programme of change is synchronised, and issues and risks documented and appropriately managed. Your analytical abilities, combined with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills will help to bring control, direction and insight to our project engagements, policies, procedures and business processes.
This role will give you the opportunity to learn and develop your PMO skills, whilst providing a range of services across the charity.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Tasks
Responsible for supporting the rollout of a range of projects and the management of change control.
Support the charity in the planning and delivery of a range of key projects, reporting progress and ensuring governance controls.
Responsible for resources and capacity management capacity planning, on/off boarding, resource assignments.
Responsible for organising and coordinating training and development activities.
Responsible for ensuring stakeholders across the charity are communicated with effectively, creation of reports, organising diaries and other responsibilities relevant to the project portfolio.
Responsible for monitoring and controlling, analysing and reporting of the project and programme costs.
Provide PMO support and advice to a range of stakeholders across the charity who have varying levels of IT experience and knowledge.

THIS IS A FIXED TERM POST FOR 12 MONTHS TO COVER A PROJECT.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an appropriately experienced and qualified Project Manager to join the Workforce Information Systems team, working flexibly for 37.5 hours per week. This position is nominally based at Woodland House, Cardiff, and the post holder will take responsibility for introducing Allocate e-rostering software for nursing and other non-medical staff within the Health Board.
Reporting to the Workforce Information Systems Manage you will work closely with both Workforce and clinical teams. You will engage with a variety of stakeholders including Senior Nurses, Ward Managers other clinical managers, as well as Finance and Payroll colleagues.
You must demonstrate the ability and experience to manage and lead a small project team in order to deliver the implementation project to the required standard and to meet project objectives.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in an environment where changing circumstances are the norm. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the drive, credibility and authority to lead the project team will be required.
Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require part time or flexible working arrangements.

Business Unit
A busy and fast paced business unit involved in a range of civil engineering works in a variety of sectors to include rail (bridges, embankments, stations, platforms, tunnels etc.), Environment Agency, Local Authority etc. The business unit are involved in multi-disciplinary civils projects across the Western region, whether one off tendered projects or projects within our long term framework / contract agreements with key clients.
Existing contracts include CP6 infrastructure projects, minor works and Environment Agency frameworks with works typically including bridge re-construction/replacement, upgrades and refurbishments, station work (platforms, access for all etc.), structures including bridges, tunnels and footbridges.
The Role
As Project Manager you will be directly responsible for the daily management of various rail and civil engineering projects within our portfolio work in the region. You will be responsible for leading successful contract delivery, by ensuring that the site team are fully appraised of the contract parameters and have the capability and resources necessary to achieve contract objectives.
