We, Superior Plastics, have the knowledge, tools, and expertise to make your plastic part design a reality. Our custom plastic injection molding services are backed by our over 34 years of experience in designing and creating plastic parts and products. Many industries have some form of plastic components or parts, and many of them use plastic injection molding. We serve all of these industries.

Basic Function:

  • Able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic issues on Injection molding machines
  • Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and or using schematics diagrams
  • Experience with CAMAC PLC for Cincinnati Milacron Machines a plus  
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Make adjustments to injection molding machines to ensure good flow of production
  • Test-run repaired machines to verify adequacy of repairs
  • Examine equipment for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
  • 480 V Electrical
  • Building maintenance such as plumbing, light fixtures, occasional HVAC is required  
  • Occasionally push, lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and calculate data
  • Must identify and maintain a critical spare parts list

Qualifications

Experience:

Plastic Injection Molding, 5 years (Required) and a minimum of 2 years in maintenance.

Responsibilities
Oversee, coach, and develop all store Team Members in order to build new business and maintain store profitability. This includes training Team Members on systems, policies, compliance, account management, recovery, and daily performance reports.
Manage overall store performance by meeting or exceeding Company performance standards, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Track, analyze, and train Team Members on various performance reports.
Lead your team to reach or exceed sales goals by selling loan or pawn products to consumers, identifying local marketing strategies, leveraging business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtaining referrals, and hosting and participating in community events*.
Supervise and maintain office security and conduct proper opening and closing procedures, including management of vault, cash drawer, and bank deposits.
Ensure a work environment that upholds compliance with Company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
Maintain a visually pleasing and professional atmosphere that aligns with the values and mission of the Company. This includes overseeing store planogram and ensuring seasonal and/or promotional marketing material are displayed properly.
Utilize personal vehicle to complete bank deposits and other Company business throughout the workday*.
Work efficiently in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet individual and team performance standards.
Utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with customers and Team Members at all levels.
Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, including limited Saturday hours, is required for this position. A full-time work schedule for this position includes, at a minimum, 48-hours per week**.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience and proven success in a supervisory or leadership role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday (mileage compensated)
  • Ability to work phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other systems
  • Must be at least 19 years of age
  • Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check required, including motor vehicle report, and other background checks as required (certain state and local applicant exemptions may apply)
  • Physical demands for this position frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, move about freely inside and outside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

About the team and position

The Reconditioning Manager oversees all aspects of the vehicle reconditioning process and directs at least five leads and up to 70 front line associates in a lean manufacturing environment.  The Reconditioning Manager maintains a culture of continuous improvement and high associate engagement while meeting quality, production, and cost objectives.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • People Management (40%)
    • Ensure staffing levels are maintained and that there is an adequate backup for each position
    • Ensure progression path training and certification process is consistently executed
    • Promote teamwork through all levels of associates
    • Participate in the selection and hiring process
    • Train and mentor leads
    • Provide competency-based feedback to leads and associates
  • Standard Operating Procedures (20%)
    • Establish and recommend updates to the standard operating procedures of the area
    • Ensure operating standards such as standardized work, operating rules, 5S, and visual management tools are consistently executed
  • Production Management (20%)
    • Take action to determine the most appropriate solution to the problem
    • Ensure adequate production capacity levels for each line and assist with production planning
    • Identify problems either through reporting or direct interaction on the shop floor
    • Ensure compliance with all health and safety and loss prevention guidelines
  • Leadership (10%)
    • Provide vision and guidance to the reconditioning team in meeting performance metrics
    • Positively reinforce and engage the team regarding quality, production and cost objectives

What you should have

  • Minimum of 5 years of management experience either in automotive or a lean manufacturing environment
  • A valid driver’s license
  • A clean driving record with no more than two moving violations or DUI’s in the last three years
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Proven track record of leading and developing associates
  • Proven ability to obtain project deliverables and company metrics
  • Understanding of the Toyota Production System problem solving model is a plus
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing production environment while sometimes being exposed to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold)
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work with and through teams to achieve results
  • Strong analysis and decision making ability
  • Proficient computer skills

Maintenance Supervisor - Injection Molding

Superior Plastics Inc. is currently seeking an Injection Molding Maintenance Supervisor in Fort Worth, Texas. We are located just east of Downtown Fort Worth.

We, Superior Plastics, have the knowledge, tools, and expertise to make your plastic part design a reality. Our custom plastic injection molding services are backed by our over 34 years of experience in designing and creating plastic parts and products. Many industries have some form of plastic components or parts, and many of them use plastic injection molding. We serve all of these industries.

Basic Function:

  • Able to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic issues on Injection molding machines
  • Diagnose malfunctions using test equipment and or using schematics diagrams
  • Experience with CAMAC PLC for Cincinnati Milacron Machines a plus  
  • Perform preventive maintenance on Machines and auxiliary equipment
  • Make adjustments to injection molding machines to ensure good flow of production
  • Test-run repaired machines to verify adequacy of repairs
  • Examine equipment for defects, such as breakage or excessive wear
  • 480 V Electrical
  • Building maintenance such as plumbing, light fixtures, occasional HVAC is required  
  • Occasionally push, lift and carry items weighing 50 pounds
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and calculate data
  • Must identify and maintain a critical spare parts list
