At accuRx, we're building a dynamic and ubiquitous healthcare communication platform. Our mission is simple - to change lives by bringing patients and their healthcare teams together. Our technology is revolutionising how technology is adopted and how care is delivered in healthcare.
Established in 2016 and now with £9m in Series A funding, accuRx is one of the UK's fastest-growing tech startups. In two years, we grew from only a few GP practices using us to over 50% of practices in England. Today, over 95% of GP practices rely on us to communicate with their patients. We've just launched in hospitals and are already used by over 15% of hospitals in England. Our vision is that anyone involved in a patient's care can communicate with each other.
In response to COVID-19, we spent March and April working tirelessly to release new features to help frontline staff. This includes a video consultation solution that went from zero to 35,000 daily consultations in the space of 8 weeks. We then spent November and December building a vaccination booking system that has already saved frontline staff many hours and helped with vaccination uptake for vulnerable people in the UK.
We then spent November and December building a vaccination booking system that has already saved frontline staff many hours and helped with vaccination uptake for vulnerable people in the UK.
See our public roadmap for what’s up next.
Unlike many healthtech companies, we are a software provider, not a healthcare provider. We allow existing health and care systems (starting with the NHS in the UK) to deliver technology-enabled care, free from any AI/Blockchain-hype.
As the first Product Marketing Manager at accuRx, you will be responsible for how we communicate the value of our upcoming products to drive adoption. This means you need to understand our customers intimately, so that you can create the right messaging and carry out the right activities to help our products get widespread adoption from day 1. You’ll need to be confident conducting user research, digging into user needs, and synthesising those insights into effective copy and positioning creative. This messaging can then be tested with the market, including the press, and iterated on. The effect of this should be users who can’t wait to get their hands on the latest accuRx product and try it out for themselves!
You will be responsible for coordinating accuRx product launches, which will involve coordination with the product, partnerships, operations and support teams, as well as tight communication with press & PR contacts. A big part of this will be content creation - making sure we have the right support articles, FAQs, webinars, newsletters etc in place to optimise for activation of new products and big features. This won’t only be limited to digital channels, once we're able to be on the ground, we'd expect you to be creative in how to drive engagement in products, from bake sales to help-desks and any other imaginative ideas you have.
You also need to be comfortable owning branding and positioning for new and existing products and will be given license to use your expertise. From helping to name new products, to working with our design team to ensure consistent branding - you’ll be the go-to colleague when it comes to making sure our latest product has the accuRx seal of approval.
You'll be inspired by our mission to change healthcare and excited by the opportunity to build out accuRx’s first marketing team - up until now we’ve been able to grow organically, relying on bottom-up growth and word of mouth.
Benji Portwin - Head of Product
"Given that we are a product-first organisation, this role is going to be pivotal to the future of accuRx. This person will own our product launches, making sure they land with aplomb”
Salary - £30,000 - £50,000 + Shares
Each health system is made up of a diverse workforce, serving 100% of the population. We are building for them, not us. We can only transform health systems if we build a diverse team, rich with different backgrounds, opinions and personalities. We are an equal opportunities employer and a pleasant and supportive place to work. We particularly welcome applications from those who are significantly underrepresented in the technology sector, such as women, transgender people, people with disabilities and individuals from Black and Minority ethnic communities.
