  • You are enthusiastic about getting things done and helping to convince the customer
  • You have excellent communication and customer service skills; verbal, written and listening/understanding

Eden Scott are looking for an Ebeam Lithography Engineer to work with a leading Manufacturer of III-V photonic devices.

My client provides custom foundry services in InP, GaAs, GaN and GaSb on 2', 3' and 4' wafers, and have ongoing, active research and development programmes in various technology areas in partnership with private and public bodies. They also develop and manufacture custom and standard InP laser products for the FTTx (Fibre to the Home / Premises / Building) and PON (Passive Optical Network) markets and are currently in the process of ramping production to >1M devices per month. are ISO 9001: 2015 certified and currently employ circa 70 staff in R&D, wafer fabrication and backend assembly & test at their facility.

Reporting to the Director of Process Engineering, you will take responsibility for all Ebeam lithography processes but not limited to, process library, SPC, daily checks, process development, optimisation and sustaining. Including all related metrology. You will drive process readiness for production to continually improve NPI and manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness. Support transition of new processes and products from R&D to production. Own process yield and support end-to-end yield improvement through improved process integration and collaboration with other process engineers, product engineering and R&D.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish continuous improvement of product and mechanical yields by process characterisation, standardisation on best practices and application of effective SPC.
  • Take ownership for process equipment, and report KPI’s.
  • Manage and execute assigned projects.
  • Own and deliver improvements in assigned process / equipment responsibilities.
  • Project manage new processes in conjunction with Development Engineering.
  • Develop, from concept through qualification to production, new processes: e.g.
  • Compound semiconductor processing on 3” and 4” substrates
  • Ensure engineering documentation and procedures comply with ISO 9001 and most demanding customer requirements
  • Work as part of Operations team to ensure timely delivery of high quality products.
  • Publish technical literature and reports in relation to process innovations and be primary link with internal and external product design as appropriate.
  • Manage process to suitable production release for inclusion into the company library.

 

Requirements:

  • Qualified to at least degree level with at least 5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Experience of developing/implementingnew Ebeam lithographyprocesses.
  • Experience in III-V compound semiconductors and optoelectronics specifically would be an advantage.
  • Experience in the use of RaithEbeam lithography tools an advantage

  • Background and experience in Field Sales and Engineering - previous involvement in the process control and instrumentation industry is particularly helpful;
  • Proven track record of direct selling in a B2B environment, securing new business (via existing and new customers) and establishing long term relationships with them;
  • Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to selling;
  • Capability to adapt to our specific portfolio and understand product value and applications;

Opportunity for a Hardware Engineer to join an exciting company at a time where they are looking to expand UK wide.

The Client is in the defence industry and has a great reputation within this sector.

Skill-set requirements-

* Software design, development and review (from concept to final product) for a range of systems from small embedded single processors through to multi-processor networked systems.

* Work with systems and hardware engineers to develop multi-discipline solutions, including the definition of software hardware and software-firmware interfaces.

* Undertake design activities at both the equipment and system levels

* Meeting technical requirements through all phases of design, integration and leading to customer acceptance

Skills needed-

* In-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of software design and development.

* Degree level educated in a related engineering discipline

* Can evaluate, mitigate and manage engineering risks across projects for which you will be directly/indirectly responsible.

The work covers both the Maritime and Land domains

Role: Permanent Hours: Full Time 37.5 Hours
