THE ROLE

Reporting to the Lean Manager, the Production Engineer is responsible for supporting production throughout the in-house metal shop and assembly areas. The role will also focus on the support and development of external suppliers co-ordinating the mutual engineering review of new products ensuring cost effective and sustainable production methods are utilised. The role will include the development and definition of strategic targets across the organisation.

Working with the production engineering and lean teams, you will ensure successful identification and implementation of best manufacturing practise and to help review the suitability for manufacture of new products, and maintain quality that exceeds our customer’s expectation.

You will be self-driven, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members. Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making whilst remaining commercially and financially aware.

The ideal candidate will have experience with implementing Manufacturing Improvements and Continuous Improvement projects within batch manufacturing businesses, and qualified to HNC / HND level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline as a minimum. Experience of working with sheet metal fabrications, with an understanding of related manufacturing processes and limitations is essential, alongside project management experience. A demonstrable track record of identifying and successfully implementing change with previous involvement in New Product introduction, Value Analysis and Value Engineering techniques, root cause analysis, FMEA, Value Stream Mapping and 8D is advantageous.

The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 16:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 14:00pm.

THE ROLE:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technical Team at Gazco Ltd.

Reporting directly to the Technical Customer Services Assistant Manager. The purpose of this role is to take all entry customer and retailer calls of a technical nature and provide them with the correct technical advice and to transfer more complex enquiries to the Technical Engineer team. This role requires the skill to resolve customer’s issues in a swift, successful and diplomatic manner regardless of the circumstances.

We are looking for a highly motivated team player with good communication skills, with the ability to prioritise and be proactive. Computer literate with a good knowledge of software program’s including email, Word, Sage and willing to learn new programs such as our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.

An understanding of heating appliances of all fuel types, installation and servicing will be advantageous for this role, but not a requirement as full training will be provided to successful applicants. Experience in a call centre, handling technical fault finding or supporting warrantied goods is desirable for this role.

THE ROLE

Your primary responsibility will be the completion of warranty service work for Gas, Electric and Solid Fuel heating appliances. The role will include diagnosing faults and repairing appliances in a timely and cost effective manner.

During off peak periods, the role will also include carrying out the maintenance of Gazco and Stovax appliances within dealer’s showrooms and completing chargeable annual servicing for our customers. Although the role will cover a pre-determined area, travel to most areas of the UK will be necessary and will involve being away from home for up to 4 nights each week. The role will provide a fully equipped van, laptop/iPad and phone.

The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with heating appliances or servicing comparable equipment in the field. You will be an excellent communicator, proactive and naturally customer focussed. The successful candidate will be required to have and maintain the following training certificates:

  • CCN1 (Domestic Core Gas Safety), HTR1 (Gas Fires & Wall Heaters), CONGLP1 (LPG Changeover)
  • CPA1 – Combustion Analysis
  • GAS SAFE requirements (OFTEC also an advantage)

The following qualifications whilst not essential, would be an advantage:

  • Part P Electrical Safety
  • Electrical Safe Isolation
  • HETAS Certification
  • Hetas H002 (Solid fuel regulations and Standards)

IT Infrastructure Operations Engineer at Appen partners with IT Infrastructure Operations Analysts and IT Technical Support Analysts to identify solutions to fix root cause and recurring issues. Ensures that the IT infrastructure is sufficiently robust, scalable, and efficient to deliver the integrated services underlying the physical, virtual and cloud environment that supports the processes, resources, and operators required for accessing, integrating, operating, and sustaining IT applications and support services. Understands and is proficient on cloud hosting services as AWS, Azure, etc on a conceptual and hands-on aspect to be able to easily figure out architectural design and how technical components interact. Provides third-level support to augment IT Infrastructure Operations capacity to handle escalated tickets.

  • Responsibilities

 

  • Application compatibility – Ensure that software systems and feature releases are compatible with the Appen IT Infrastructure
  • Backup and disaster recovery – Data backup and recovery processes, replacement of hardware (networking)
  • Documentation – Maintain records of IT asset usage, End-user requests, business requirements, IT Issues and regulatory compliance.
  • Network administration – follow organizational polices and protocols in order to maintain network integrity
  • Security administration – Infrastructure and network security monitoring and analysis, IAM, software licensing, updates and patching

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Lean Manager, the Production Engineer is responsible for supporting production throughout the in-house metal shop and assembly areas. The role will also focus on the support and development of external suppliers co-ordinating the mutual engineering review of new products ensuring cost effective and sustainable production methods are utilised. The role will include the development and definition of strategic targets across the organisation.

Working with the production engineering and lean teams, you will ensure successful identification and implementation of best manufacturing practise and to help review the suitability for manufacture of new products, and maintain quality that exceeds our customer’s expectation.

You will be self-driven, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage a variety of cross-functional team members. Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills. Competent in problem solving, planning and decision making whilst remaining commercially and financially aware.

The ideal candidate will have experience with implementing Manufacturing Improvements and Continuous Improvement projects within batch manufacturing businesses, and qualified to HNC / HND level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline as a minimum. Experience of working with sheet metal fabrications, with an understanding of related manufacturing processes and limitations is essential, alongside project management experience. A demonstrable track record of identifying and successfully implementing change with previous involvement in New Product introduction, Value Analysis and Value Engineering techniques, root cause analysis, FMEA, Value Stream Mapping and 8D is advantageous.

The hours for this role are Monday to Thursday 7:30am to 16:30pm, Friday 7:30am to 14:00pm.
