Manufacturing Assistant - Our Company:
Local Subsidiary of a global group based in Germany (Euro 1.2 billion turnover, 70 sites around the globe, 8'000 employees). Produces and sells Carbon components and products for the British Isles Markets. Main customers are Aerospace, Chemical and Process Industries, Industrial and Electrical Application Industries
We are looking for a motivated person to join our small team of engineers to assist with some of the day to day tasks within different areas that keep our processes running smoothly.
Manufacturing Assistant - Key Responsibilities:
- Impregnation
- Loading machined products into curing vessels and starting/finishing the process
- Use of gases
- Some heavy lifting required
- Toolgrinding
- Sharpening tools for re-use on a daily basis
- Lapping
- Using various machines to polish machined products to a high standard
- Colour stamping finished products as per customer requirements
The successful Manufacturing Assistant will have a strong work ethic with an ambition to succeed. You will be able to work under your own initiative, and react to changing demands. No previous experience necessary, full training will be given.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Technical Sales Engineer / Field Sales Engineer - Electronic Automation Components, Sensors to OEM's and Machine Builders
· After an initial one-month, full induction training programme (which will then be on-going) including sales and technical - both in the UK and European HQ, you will be given the Yorkshire and North East territory to develop.
· Although there will also be existing clients and significant business on the area, there will be a high new business content using a database of potential clients, following up on exhibition and internet generated leads, your own market research and your own lead generation.
· You will be dealing with clients at all levels from Design Engineer up to Director level at customers which are mainly OEMs with some end user contact.
· There is also a lot of scope to grow the area, with potential to double it in size selling to customers across automotive, food, pharmaceutical and packaging machinery, and equipment OEM markets.
PERSON SPECIFICATION: Technical Sales Engineer / Field Sales Engineer - Electronic Automation Components, Sensors to OEM's and Machine Builders
To be considered for this potentially rewarding role in terms of remuneration and career progression you will have:
EITHER
Some field sales, or possibly internal / office-based engineering / technical sales or applications engineer experience and a relevant engineering qualification ideally degree level or a good mechanical and electronics knowledge. (Preferably you will have sold components into mechanical OEMs).
OR
A proven track record of success in technical or engineering field sales, much preferably selling electrical, electrical, or industrial automation components to OEMs, ideally with a good mechanical knowledge or understanding as these are electronic components but solving mechanical problems for the customer.
What is most important is your desire to succeed and exceed targets, and progress in a competitive sales environment.

About Us:
Long established privately run sheet metal fabricators. Having had over 50 years within the subcontractor sector and successfully supplying into the Retail, Electrical and Lighting industries, we are now looking to expand our sales opportunities into other markets and looking for the right individual to help take us there and develop these sectors.
We operate from circa 120,000 sq ft state of the art facility near Manchester. One of the largest fabrication facilities in Northern England, with sheet metal processing, large powder coat plant with special finishes, spring manufacturing, engineering with heavy power presses amongst other plant all under one roof. We also have expanded our electrical and mechanical assembly unit, so can produce from concept to completely finished product.
Business Development Manager Role:
+ Generate New Business from their existing contacts, and establish new ones
+ Cost jobs and offer pricing to Customers , with detailed information given to production.
+ Liase with Customers to develop a seamless relationship and be able to fully understand the customer requirements and needs .
+ Work along side production to schedule delivery requirements and agree timescales .

+ To be able to cost and estimate parts, giving detailed breakdowns for in house production
