My client, a nationally recognised, high volume manufacturer, is searching for a manager to head up their electrical engineering and automation team on site. They are a market leader within their product line and can be truly classed as a household name. This role would suit someone who drives improvement and challenges current processes.
This role would be suited to those who have strong automation/PLC knowledge, ideally gained with a FMCG or production manufacturing environment. You will be an experienced leader, being able to influence and implement change in an experienced and challenging environment. Ideally, you will be educated to level 5, within electrical or controls engineering.
Working within a fast paced, high volume manufacturing facility & reporting in to the site engineering manager, your role will be to further develop the sites automation and controls initiatives, you will be the go to person on site for all things automation. You will be responsible for influencing and implementing across site, using your leadership skills to create productive working relationships throughout the team. Although working a monday to friday shift, the site does operate 24/7, some degree of flexibility will be required for out of hours issues.
This is a challenging and very rewarding opportunity for someone looking to step up in to senior management or further develop their skills on a senior management team.
The Person:
Experienced and technical expert within automation and controls engineering
FMCG or Food manufacturing experience- highly desirable
Leader and influencer
Level 5 or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline

Working as part of the management team

Senior Software Engineer C# .NET
An exciting position has become available for full time Senior Software Engineer C# .NET to join a friendly team based in South Wales. The successful candidate will earn £45,000 to £55,000 pa.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be responsible for the design and development of our web-based systems. You will be designing, developing and deploying code, services and websites to run on our servers. You will work in a small project a team alongside product design engineers.
You will have significant experience in developing web-based applications and server-side code. You’ll be highly proficient in C# with a good understanding of OO and how to design software properly. Ideally, you’ll have a background in C++ and some experience of developing software for PC applications.
