The opportunity
This is a new opportunity to join the Experience Design team as an Associate Product Designer. You'll develop attractive, modern and easy to use design for our game-changing platform. You will aim to ensure that all users have an outstanding experience and positive user journey throughout their time on our platform.
Your designs will help to increase user engagement and further enhance users' experience of developing their cyber skills.
Working closely with our Director of Experience Design you'll need to possess fundamental UI and digital design skills; have a passion for interaction design and an understanding of how to collaborate with others involved in the user-centred design process.

Your main responsibilities:
- Deliver an outstanding user experience through exceptional and intuitive application design.
- Produce new digital illustrations and simple animations creating clickable / tapable high fidelity prototypes
- Make use of Immersive' Design System to establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
- Iterating on existing ideas and identifying gaps where new design system components could be created.
- Collaborating with the Director of Experience Design, UX Consultants, Product Designers, Content Engineers, Product managers and the engineering team to create beautiful, useful and functional digital products which exceed user expectations.
- Executing all visual design stages from concept to implementation
- Exploring possible design solutions through low fidelity sketching and wireframing
- Articulate and justify design decisions to peers and stakeholders
To be successful:
- Experience working with modern design tools, we use Figma
- Capable of exploring possible design solutions for screens within a journey, producing high fidelity concepts, taking into account UX Design outputs
- Able to artwork and iterate on illustration concepts within existing guidelines
- Good understanding of current UI design practices to create an efficient & seamless user-experience
- A passion for user interface design and understanding of UX processes
- Able to take on board constructive feedback from peers and identify potential changes

•Fitting and removal of partitions, floors, ceilings & other fittings
•Cleaning units or preparing furniture for the units
•Preparation, shot blasting and painting both interior and exterior paintwork
•Completing basic plumbing or electrical work (PAT Testing); installing sinks, taps, worktops, water heaters, hand dryers etc.
•Use of use a B1 Forklift or Power Pallet Truck or Low Loader Picker to move units and items.
•Fit door locks and cut keys and perform basic uncoded welding
•Lay vinyl floor coverings
•Cut a window/door panel from a blank panel and repair window roller shutters
•All other general maintenance, repair, assembly and fitting work as required.
The environment is a busy one, with lots of variety and plenty of opportunity to develop your skills. You would need to have a willingness to learn; the ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team; a flexible approach to work and working hours and to have a good mix of general repair / maintenance / multi trader work experience. Ideally you may hold an NVQ or equivalent in your specialism, a blue skilled worker CSCS card and a Health & Safety qualification, however full training will be provided to obtain these following the successful completion of a probationary period. Any experience of self-powered equipment / generators would be advantageous but not essential. This position would suit candidates from a property maintenance / property repair, Multi Trader, Handyman, Facilities maintenance, general builder, skilled labourer, or similar background.
A full driving licence is essential as this role involves lots of travelling to client sites across the region. There may also be a requirement of overnight stays on occasion.

About the Department
SSE Enterprise Contracting is one of the UK's largest Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) contractors with a product/service portfolio ranging from M&E LV, HV, Instrumentation, Street Lighting, Facilities Management through to Combined Heat and Power solutions.
What is the Role?
The key purpose of this position will be to support the Regional Commercial Manager and Team in providing commercial support within the region for M&E works. You’ll provide end to end commercial support, including developing the commercial strategy for specific projects or contracts by maintaining and maximising profitability and minimising risk. You’ll also support regional stakeholders on general commercial matters in order to reduce risk across the business.
Main responsibilities for this role will include :
- Understanding and negotiating contract terms for projects and mitigating risks these may place upon SSE prior to any agreement.

You will have a comprehensive commercial understanding of contract price build-ups and proven experience in managing Contractual relationships between clients, customers and contractors.
You will have an excellent ability to read and understand contract clauses and documents and be adept at communicating these to all levels within the business.
You will be an analytical and methodical individual with a professional attitude to your work. You’ll have excellent people management skills and be a team player, able to build and develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
It is an essential requirement for this role that you have a full, current driving licence.

- Undertaking precise repetitive and routine tasks, carrying out manipulation of equipment and handling blood bags and blood samples/donations on a regular basis
- Handling blood bags and a range of equipment
- Manually handling equipment on a daily basis weighing up to 13 kgs, with or without mechanical aids, with appropriate training
- You must have had HEP B Vaccinations to do this role, as you will be working with Blood Products

The opportunity
This is a new opportunity to join the Experience Design team as an Associate Product Designer. You'll develop attractive, modern and easy to use design for our game-changing platform. You will aim to ensure that all users have an outstanding experience and positive user journey throughout their time on our platform.
Your designs will help to increase user engagement and further enhance users' experience of developing their cyber skills.
Working closely with our Director of Experience Design you'll need to possess fundamental UI and digital design skills; have a passion for interaction design and an understanding of how to collaborate with others involved in the user-centred design process.
If you are intrigued by our culture and eager to work with a team of iterative, globally-based colleagues who have varying viewpoints and you are excited about making design decisions impacting the product, and proposing changes to improve the experience for our target audience. We will welcome your different points of view and appreciate your ideas and contributions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Deliver an outstanding user experience through exceptional and intuitive application design.
- Produce new digital illustrations and simple animations creating clickable / tapable high fidelity prototypes
- Make use of Immersive' Design System to establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
- Iterating on existing ideas and identifying gaps where new design system components could be created.
- Collaborating with the Director of Experience Design, UX Consultants, Product Designers, Content Engineers, Product managers and the engineering team to create beautiful, useful and functional digital products which exceed user expectations.
- Executing all visual design stages from concept to implementation
- Exploring possible design solutions through low fidelity sketching and wireframing
- Articulate and justify design decisions to peers and stakeholders
To be successful:
- Experience working with modern design tools, we use Figma
- Capable of exploring possible design solutions for screens within a journey, producing high fidelity concepts, taking into account UX Design outputs
- Able to artwork and iterate on illustration concepts within existing guidelines
- Good understanding of current UI design practices to create an efficient & seamless user-experience
- A passion for user interface design and understanding of UX processes
- Able to take on board constructive feedback from peers and identify potential changes
