We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapistto join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Chartered Physiotherapist.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
  • Acupuncture qualification and an interest in hydrotherapy is highly desirable.

INTERMEDIATE CARE

We are looking for an experienced physiotherapist to join our developing Intermediate care service within Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. The service includes intermediate care beds currently on 2 sites and an Outreach Service into people’s own homes. The aim is to promote faster recovery from illness, prevent unnecessary acute hospital admission and premature admission to long-term residential care. Also support timely discharge from hospital and maximise independent living.

This role involves working in the bed base service and/or the outreach team delivering rehabilitation and reablement to the population of Rotherham. The majority of the caseload being older people with a variety of complex conditions. There will be an expectation of flexibility to work throughout the intermediate care service as the needs arise.

The team includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, specialist mental health occupational therapists and therapy support workers. The team works closely with a wider MDT of social workers, nurses, doctors, Unit managers, care and enabling staff and voluntary sector.

The team provides a 7-day service and the anticipated work pattern would be included a weekend day.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a rehabilitation setting ideally including bed base and community settings and be used to a holistic approach to assessment and planning with a very patient centred ethos. Other requirements are good clinical risk management, equipment assessment and provision and excellent communication skills.

We have a strong commitment to supervision, PDR, CPD, student and staff training.

The successful applicant will have:

We have an opportunity for a Physiotherapistto join their team of staff in the Physiotherapy department.

This is a Full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Chartered Physiotherapist.
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP).
  • Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Knowledge of CSP and HCPC Codes and guidelines and their implications for practice.
  • Acupuncture qualification and an interest in hydrotherapy is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of the Care Standards Act and Care and Quality Commission Requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance tools.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, including risk management.
  • Degree level educated, or equivalent.
  • Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including the use of software and systems.

Duties of this role include:

  • To manage a clinical caseload, providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to the highest standard, ensuring excellent patient care at all times.
  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for relevant departments participating in these patients’ pre-admission and follow-up care as appropriate.
  • To take an active role in supporting the implementation of national developments locally.
  • To ensure the department maintains BMI Physiotherapy accreditation.
  • Keep abreast of developments in physiotherapy by attending relevant courses and maintaining an up to date personal portfolio.
