About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager will take lead responsibility for the development and roll out the Museum’s digital marketing strategy and eCommerce approach.

The Digital Marketing function is tasked to reach/exceed visitor targets, revenue and sales goals and other customer experience KPIs. This involves coordinating all digital marketing and acquisition activity across Paid Search, SEO, Social, Affiliates and Display, allocating budgets, and working closely with the Campaigns and Press teams to maximise efficiency in our digital marketing channels. With one direct report, the Digital Marketing Manager will also be responsible for the management, development, optimisation, and maintenance of the RAF Museum website, as well as other key eCommerce channels, such as our online shop and ticketing platform.

Key responsibilities of our Digital Marketing Manager include:

- Supporting the Head of Communications and Marketing in the development of the RAF Museum digital marketing and eCommerce strategy

- Setting and delivering on annual and quarterly digital brand engagement and revenue targets across all online acquisition channels responsible for PPC, SEO, Display, Social Paid and Affiliates, ensuring KPI’s are met

- Developing a digital marketing strategy in collaboration with the wider Marketing and Communications team to bring to life the Museum’s annual brand marketing objectives

- Developing and implementing a reporting infrastructure that summarises all of the key digital marketing and acquisition KPI’s across all digital channels

- Developing the new RAF Museum website in line with overall marketing objectives

- Effectively managing the new website, producing engaging content that aligns with our brand and optimises the sites digital performance and KPI’s

- Acting as a Digital and eCommerce stakeholder at selected internal and external groups

- Acting as lead marketing stakeholder in all aspects of marketing data compliance

What we are looking for in our ideal Digital Marketing Manager:

- Demonstrable and proven experience in a digital marketing-oriented role at a managerial level

- Demonstrable experience of digital campaign management

- The ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally

- Demonstrable experience of managing social media channels

- The ability to flex approach to the different needs of competing work areas

- Experience of CRM and data analysis

Job Description

Reporting to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager.

You will provide support across all paid digital marketing channels, taking ownership of the existing channel management, including paid search, paid social and programmatic display, supporting the current managers with implementation and reporting requirements.

  • Implementation, optimisation and reporting of paid social and paid search.
  • Support on programmatic display and influencer campaigns
  • Overseeing daily reporting across all key channels, ensuring accuracy of data and pulling out relevant insights
  • Implementing new campaigns across variety of channels as briefed by brand managers, following current campaign structure guidelines and taxonomy
  • Optimising ongoing activity using insights yielded from in-depth reporting, utilising data from multiple sources, including GA and bureau reports
  • Proactively suggest adaptations that can be made within existing activity to improve performance (format, audience, creative alterations, etc.)
  • Working extremely closely with other members of the Digital Marketing & Subscriptions Ecommerce team, brand managers across all of Dennis’ portfolio, and external agencies.
  •  There will also be elements of interaction and coordination with other sections of the marketing department (Digital Demand Marketing, retention, customer service, CRM), editorial teams, the data team and the external data bureau ABS.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing paid search campaigns (Google & Bing) – experience of working with these platforms is essential
  • Minimum 2 years experience managing paid social (PPC/Pay per click) campaigns on Facebook/Instagram, Twitter and Linkedin is essential
  • Experience of working with Google Analytics is essential
  • Intuitive understanding of customer journeys, and the ability to pick out potential areas of friction within paths to conversion
  • Experience with influencer marketing or programmatic would be a bonus.

Overview

We need your help to improve clarity and control over the funnels we use to attract both B2C and B2B customers, so that we can support a broader range of people into exciting careers in software development.

You’ll be our go-to person for everything related to digital marketing: tracking and tweaking the performance of our digital channels, optimising our website content and user flows, and building on the marketing automation software we have in place to improve the efficiency of our marketing efforts.

What you’ll be doing

Role Overview

  • Growing our marketing funnels, for both B2B and B2C;
  • Effectively communicating our offering with a wide range of sectors and audiences, delivering on brand messaging to stakeholders
  • Raising brand awareness, by managing our brand online and through digital campaigns;
  • Optimising our digital marketing channels for lead generation;
  • Setting up marketing campaigns to reach new companies with the goal of increasing our lead generation
  • Providing detailed and comprehensive reporting on our marketing channels and their performance, for the whole marketing team to act on;
  • Improving the usability and conversion rates of our website;
  • Effectively managing the digital marketing budget.
  • Working dynamically with B2B sales to develop and deliver an ABM strategy targeting B2B clients and prospects
  • Working with B2C sales and the wider company to launch new products for our B2C customers
  • Own Hubspot and act as the platform expert for the entire business
  • Set-up and maintain a reporting structure to allow the marketing team to better make data-driven decisions

Typical things you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Managing investment and ROI of all paid advertising;
  • Responsible for the ongoing management and improvement of our website, including SEO;
  • Working in Hubspot to design and maintain landing pages, emails and distribution of digital content;
  • Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns, across all our digital channels;
  • Tracking and reporting on channel performance;
  • A/B testing, tracking and designing user flows;
  • Evaluating customer research, market conditions and competitor data;
  • Reviewing new technologies and keeping the company at the forefront of developments in digital marketing;
  • Working with both B2B and B2C sales individually to improve cohesion between the teams and increase opportunities in the funnel

We have a fantastic opportunity available for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our team based at either our London or Cosford site. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, we are offering acompetitive salary of circa £32,000 per annum (dependent on location).

The Royal Air Force Museum is a national museum, a Government non-departmental public body (NDPB) and a registered charity, with two sister sites at London and Cosford. RAF Museum Enterprises Ltd is the trading arm of the RAF Museum with all profits gift-aided to the Museum to support its charitable activities.

About the role:

Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Digital Marketing Manager will take lead responsibility for the development and roll out the Museum’s digital marketing strategy and eCommerce approach.

The Digital Marketing function is tasked to reach/exceed visitor targets, revenue and sales goals and other customer experience KPIs. This involves coordinating all digital marketing and acquisition activity across Paid Search, SEO, Social, Affiliates and Display, allocating budgets, and working closely with the Campaigns and Press teams to maximise efficiency in our digital marketing channels. With one direct report, the Digital Marketing Manager will also be responsible for the management, development, optimisation, and maintenance of the RAF Museum website, as well as other key eCommerce channels, such as our online shop and ticketing platform.

Key responsibilities of our Digital Marketing Manager include:

- Supporting the Head of Communications and Marketing in the development of the RAF Museum digital marketing and eCommerce strategy

- Setting and delivering on annual and quarterly digital brand engagement and revenue targets across all online acquisition channels responsible for PPC, SEO, Display, Social Paid and Affiliates, ensuring KPI’s are met

- Developing a digital marketing strategy in collaboration with the wider Marketing and Communications team to bring to life the Museum’s annual brand marketing objectives

- Developing and implementing a reporting infrastructure that summarises all of the key digital marketing and acquisition KPI’s across all digital channels

- Developing the new RAF Museum website in line with overall marketing objectives

- Effectively managing the new website, producing engaging content that aligns with our brand and optimises the sites digital performance and KPI’s

- Acting as a Digital and eCommerce stakeholder at selected internal and external groups

- Acting as lead marketing stakeholder in all aspects of marketing data compliance

What we are looking for in our ideal Digital Marketing Manager:

- Demonstrable and proven experience in a digital marketing-oriented role at a managerial level

- Demonstrable experience of digital campaign management

- The ability to confidently engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally

- Demonstrable experience of managing social media channels

- The ability to flex approach to the different needs of competing work areas

- Experience of CRM and data analysis
