<h1><strong>General Operative: Oiler/Greaser</strong></h1><h2><strong>· BSW Dalbeattie, DG5 4PL</strong></h2><h2><strong>· Back Shifts</strong></h2><p>We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our workforce within our Green Mill operations at BSW Timber, Dalbeattie. As a Greaser/Lubricator you will be assisting in the preventative maintenance of the sawmill machinery in order to maintain efficient milling operations.</p><h3><strong>Specifically, some responsibilities of a Greaser in our Green Mill may include:</strong></h3><p>· All aspects of scheduled lubrication on various types of machinery throughout the production lines and across the mill.</p><p>· Lubricating moving part of heavy equipment throughout the mill.</p><p>· Changing oil in machine reservoirs; Cleaning and replacing oil filters.</p><p>· Ensuring swift clean-up of any hazards including sawdust, oil spills, etc.</p><p>· Ensuring preventative maintenance schedules are adhered to and kept up to date.</p><p>· Upholding the appropriate Health & Safety practices.</p><h3><strong>About you:</strong></h3><p>We’re seeking a motivated and hardworking individual who understands the value of the machinery they are tasked with maintaining and the importance of their role in the overall sawmilling operation. A degree of flexibility will be required to ensure operations are maximised, maintained and quality targets are met with minimum wastage. In addition, you will have:</p><p>· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.</p><p>· Good organisational skills and attention to detail.</p><p>· An appreciation of quality and Health & Safety.</p><p>· Willingness to undertake all relevant training required to fulfil the role.</p><p>· Experience within a manufacturing, or similar production environment, would be advantageous.</p><p>· Ideally, successful candidates will hold a Full Drivers Licence, however this is not essential.</p><h3><strong>About BSW:</strong></h3><p>· BSW Group is the largest timber and forestry business in the UK, with operating divisions spanning the whole supply chain, from tree nurseries and woodland management to sawmilling and pallets.</p><p>· We market 35 million saplings annually through the country’s leading commercial tree nursery, have planted a billion trees through Tilhill Forestry, supply sustainable timber products to an array of industries as BSW Timber, and manufacture millions of pallets a year as Scott Pallets.
