Main duties of the job

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward thinking Occupational Therapist to join our service. The role involves assessing patients within an intermediate care setting, in an acute setting and patients own homes. The service will operate 365 days a year, 8.00am - 8.00pm.

The Trust works closely with the Acute therapy services and there may be a requirement to assess and treat patients within either a ward or community setting dependant on service demands, or as part of a rotation into the acute.

Main duties of the job

As a Band 6 clinician within the Surgical/Critical care team you will be required to take part in delivering a quality Occupational Therapy Service in balance with working closely with other members of the Multidisciplinary Team including Physiotherapy, Consultants and the Hospital Discharge Team. You will need to have an enthusiastic approach, be forward thinking and have a problem-solving approach to patient management. The ability to work within a fast paced and pressured environment is essential, along with having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and demonstration of the ability to support other team members.

You may also be required to complete community visits, therefore applicants will need to have access to a car and hold a full UK Driving License.
