As a member of the Integrated Urgent Care team (IUC), you will be first point of contact for members of the public with a 24 hour urgent but non-emergency health concern, you will be providing advice and signposting assistance to onward care utilising the NHS Pathways triage system, Following assessment, our health advisors can:• If they are well, advice and support on accessing local services such as general practice, dentists, pharmacies and other healthcare services,• If they have a query about their medication, immediate support from a pharmacist, or• If they are unwell or calling on behalf of a child or someone they care for who is unwell, over the-phone assessment, identification of the most appropriate care for the issue and, as appropriate, advice for managing the condition at home.• Transfer calls to our clinical assessment service which is on hand 24/7 to provide expert advice, assessment and support, preventing the need for patients to make further calls. Please note: If you require hours of more than 24 hours per week, including full-time roles (37.5 hours), we may be able to accommodate you, if you are happy to work more weekend hours (this may mean working every weekend and taking days off during the week).
