As a Senior Network Engineer you will be part of a team of technical experts managing the iomart National and International Networks and be responsible for assisting with the technical delivery of all iomart managed hosting customers and network services. Within your role as a Senior Network Engineer you will manage systems to ensure 100% uptime for the network infrastructure and work closely with the Group Network Manager to ensure we maintain 100% uptime for our customers. As a subject matter expert you will be one of the go to people for network related queries including, but not limited to, technical design, best practices and deployment methodologies. Part of your role will include the investigation and diagnosis of network related incidents reported by customers and you will liaise with Upstream Providers and peers where necessary.
This role is to be based in Glasgow, London, Manchester or Gosport but you must be willing to travel to any of our UK locations as required. Furthermore, you will provide on call support for essential services/critical incidents as part of a rota so it is essential that you are comfortable with being on-call.

Our client in London is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Data Analyst.
This will be a 12 month position that may be extended.
The main function of a data analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database applying knowledge of database management systems. A typical database analyst/programmer is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing security measures to safeguard the computer database.
• Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
• Modify existing databases and database management systems or direct programmers and analysts to make changes.
• Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions.
• Leverage tools such as Python, R & SQL to drive efficient analytics.
• Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build analytical models and make recommendations.
• Experience working with big data analytics tools, and conducting large scale analysis.
• Experience using analytical tools (Tableau, statistical, visualization, GIS / mapping) and data processing and data analytics techniques (Python, R, SQL).
• Understanding of statistics (e.g., hypothesis testing, statistical inference, regressions, ML systems).
• Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time.
• Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required.
Working as an integral part of the Network & Infrastructure team, you will be part of a team that are responsible for managing, maintaining and improving the network infrastructure and processes that underpin Zen's consumer and business products.
The Network Operation Centre (NOC) is responsible for ensuring the maximum possible service availability and performance for Zen's extensive UK National Network. Previous experience working as a NOC Engineer is beneficial, it's more important that you have the aptitude and demonstrable skills needed to fulfil this role whilst experienced members of the team will help you develop your skills and confidence.
The ability to liaise, communicate and support the other Business Divisions is essential. You will be required to frequently interact with Technical Support, Managed Support, Service Provisioning, Sales teams and 3rd party suppliers. It is vitally important that you are able to communicate ideas and information to people from varying technical backgrounds.
You will work very closely with the Network Engineering team and as such need to have a good all-round understanding of networks and systems.
Importantly, Network Operations Engineers must develop a solid understanding of Zen's products and processes, they must be keen to learn, able to use their experience and initiative to tackle a broad range of problems and contribute to the growing success of Zen.
The requires you to be part of a rota providing 24x7 support for our key ISP services as well as covering both planned and unplanned out of hours work as required. A self-motivated person who works well autonomously is essential for the role.
Working within an ITIL based framework the NOC Engineers ensure network and systems availability and performance, whilst supporting and monitoring key KPI’s and SLAs.
You will be part of a wider engineering team managing a variety of engineering and technology based projects covering Connectivity, Security, Network Expansion, Hosting and Cloud solutions.
Reporting to the NOC Team Leader you must have a demonstrated track record within this field. This role commands a board range of skills from networking to systems engineering, enterprise applications to awareness of industry technologies.
