Additional Information

Below is a brief overview of the role.
  • Being the ‘eyes and ears’ of the client on site, updating them on quality standards both verbally and through production of weekly reports.
  • Reporting on health and safety issues, site conditions and ensuring any matters are dealt with by the site management.
  • Reviewing drawings and ensuring that the project is being built using correct methods and to specification/drawings, raising/querying any discrepancies verbally and in written formats.
  • Monitoring progress against the contract programme.
  • Identifying and highlighting defects and following them up until they are rectified.

The right individual will ideally have experience working on schools / educational projects as a Clerk of Works ideally a member of ICWCI, however we are willing to consider personnel with a construction management background. Experience of working on construction sites, the ability to read technical drawings and interpret contract programmes and knowledge of British Standards and site health and safety is also essential.

The role of an Environmental Protection Officer is to limit the incidences of dog fouling, littering.

Whilst raising awareness, promoting a more responsible approach to our environment and educating the local community are all means of reducing instances of littering and dog fouling there will always be those who refuse to alter their behaviour. The enforcement powers of the wardens enable them to prosecute individuals for littering and dog fouling. Fixed penalty notices can also be issued to offenders who are caught allowing their dogs to foul and not removing the waste or failing to dispose of their litter in a correct manner.

Person specification:

  • A calm and assertive manner with the ability to deal professionally and diplomatically with people from all backgrounds.
  • A resilient character, as some interaction with the offenders, can occasionally be confrontational.
  • Ability to defuse hostile situations professionally.
  • Good observational and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for report writing and speaking with members of the public.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and on your own; or as part of the team.
  • Capable of being on your feet and walking for long periods and in varying weather patterns.

You will be performing patrol, inspection, and/or incident response services.

This opportunity will provide security services at various sites across a defined geographical areas as required. To provide a security presence including operating a vehicle to perform patrol, inspection, and/or incident response services by protecting the customer's property
and other assets in line with the relevant Assignment Instructions.

This role provides a variety of mobile services including patrols and alarm response for commercial or private clients, escort duties and any other work as required throughout the shift.

On a daily basis you will be checking for unsafe conditions, hazards, security violations, and unauthorised personnel. You will be inspecting buildings, grounds and security devices, monitors and setting security devices whilst providing locking / unlocking services to client sites and premises.

Additional Information


Must be available to work Monday to Sunday nights (18;00 - 06:00). Average of 42 hours per week based on a four on/four off shift pattern. No Unaddressed CCJ's (Payment plans in place are acceptable).

Essential Skills


You must have a full UK manual driving licence and we will provide the vehicle.

You must have a valid front line SIA security licence.

To work with us you will also need to be confident, articulate and communicate well both orally and in written language. Our team also need to be immaculately turned out, polite and proactive when engaging with customers to ensure a complete customer experience is provided.
