An exciting opportunity has arisen following additional investment into the Neuropsychiatry service. We are looking for experienced Mental Health Liaison Nurses to join The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust.


You must be passionate, dedicated and innovative in order to help move the ever growing service forward whilst adhering to the Walton Way values.

This role will primarily support our inpatient liaison service, which provides cover across both The Walton Centre and Cheshire and Merseyside Rehabilitation Network (CMRN). You will be part of an experienced and supportive multi-disciplinary team and will receive ongoing support, training and development opportunities and have regular clinical and managerial supervision. This post is a part time post 18.75hrs weekly/2-3 shifts per week.

The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust is the only specialist Neuroscience Centre within the UK. We pride ourselves on providing innovative services to support those in our care and have been rated Outstanding following the past two CQC visits. Recently, The Walton Centre was ranked 6th in the country for overall experience in the National Inpatient Survey.

The service operates 24/7. You will work shift patterns including weekends, bank holidays and nights. Standard shifts are 12 hours a day, working 3 days one week, 4 days the next.

We are looking for a newly qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse / RMN to complete their Preceptorship programme at Cygnet Delfryn, located in Mold, Wales.

You will be working 42 hours per week,based at either our Delfryn house – high dependency inpatient rehabilitation for men, or Delfryn Lodge – high dependency inpatient rehabilitation for women.

  • Produce outstanding written reports based on your nursing assessments and observations
  • Work closely with the management team to develop the service, audit, and improve quality
  • Attend all training and engage in CPD to further knowledge and promote nursing
  • Under NMC guidelines, ensure that individual care plans are complete & maintained collectively with residents, relatives and other healthcare professionals

Delfryn House and Lodge-Our 28 bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation service for men and 24 bed high dependency inpatient rehabilitation for women who have severe and enduring mental illness and who may have been detained under the Mental Health Act. Men and women placed with us often come from multiple placement breakdowns, failed treatment programmes or are stepping down from secure settings.

We are looking for Mental Health Practitioners to work in Private mental health care homes located in Liverpool. The successful candidate would ideally have assessment, risk management and care planning experience and would be confident working autonomously and building strong therapeutic relationships with their service users. They would conduct assessment for patients suffering mental health issues and provide interventions and recovery focused care to ensure their clients maximise their independence.
