They present the information to their clients, such as businesses, government bodies, advertising agencies and charities, to help them understand the market and make informed decisions. Different jobs in market research have different salaries, reflecting the level of responsibility. The type of work carried out varies depending on the employer, and could include product testing, evaluating customer preferences and satisfaction, assessing the competition, helping launch new products, and creating future initiatives and policies.
