Moneysupermarket Group supply products from over 800 financial providers to more than 24 million unique monthly visitors, helping UK households save approx. £2bn each year. But our users demand more, so we are constantly changing our platform and products to help customers save money and deliver the experience they love. Moneysupermarket Group’s products are built by small self-sufficient teams, consisting of excellent and enthusiastic product managers, designers, developers, QA and inline DevOps engineers.
Personalisation and Core services consist of approx. 50 engineers (QA, Devs, DevOps) that are split up into small self-sufficient agile squads that are responsible for supporting all our MoneySuperMarket websites, mobile apps and internal back office tools. Some of the work that it involves is building cross cutting aspects of our web platform such as authentication, engagement, profile, and content management or building core services connecting frontend clients to the back-end data systems such as Account Services, Reference Data Services, Messaging Services, or even reshaping existing services to deliver our latest innovations. This year we are looking to build out a new function within these services.
As part of our 2021 strategy there is a new area of focus for Moneysupermarket Group which underpins our personalisation strategy by reconciling sales data from providers to match sales enquiries across our core channels such as motor insurance, money, and energy. This is a key operational system that processes and orchestrates over 3m sales for the Group. This platform enables financial revenue reporting, billing and supports projections.
During 2021 we will be looking to build out product enhancements for our Money and Van channels increasing the sales volumes by circa 1m. The team will also focus on facilitating the creation of energy cashback for applicable customers through MoneySavingExpert. You will have daily exposure with the Commercial, Finance and other vertical teams. The successful candidate will be someone that wants to lean in and be part of a wider team that has built a good, trusted relationship.
Some of the challenges that we have is that despite significant investment over the past 6months we still have a long way to go to improve the data quality and processing from providers. The work of the sales data platform is fairly new and even though we have strong confidence in our end2end, our 2021 goals will not be a straightforward task. We are always looking for ways to improve so if you are someone that enjoys a challenge and wants to be a part of a wider team then we would like to hear from you.
