An experienced and talented developer is required to join our existing software development team. The role involves the development of innovative and bespoke software solutions and also the maintenance of the existing software platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Designs and build component-based applications in a web/internet delivery environment. 
• Work on new and existing applications along with enhancements to websites, web applications. 
• Design, develop and support of applications using current and new development technologies. 
• Scope, implement, test and deploy new features and versions of core applications, databases and utilities. 
• Perform hands-on coding and designing of solutions that meet our business goals. 
• Raise issues during sprint development cycle
• Preparing reports, manuals and other documentation on the status, operation and maintenance of software.
• Work with Business Analysts to collect and document user's requirements, development of user stories, producing estimates for each change.
• Assist with providing third-level support to business users.
• Write design technical documents
• Completes all special projects and other duties as assigned.

Essential Requirements:

• Proven commercial experience of server-side Java 8-11, certification would be beneficial
• SQL (Microsoft SQL Server preferred)

• Experience of deploying applications to AWS

Highly Desirable:

• AngularJS and its ecosystem (Javascript, Yeoman, Grunt, Bower, Karma, CoffeeScript, LESS)

• Exposure to Google’s GWT/GXT
• Experience of deploying applications to AWS

Our client is one of the most experienced compact equipment hire companies in Britain.  They are currenly seeking a Mobile Service Engineer for their Thatcham depot. 

Your role would be to maintain and repair their extensive and varied construction plant hire fleet to a high standard, as well as service and repair customers’ machines and prepare new machines ready for sale.

You will need the following skills and abilities for the role:

•Experience in servicing and repairing various contractors’ plant equipment
•Experienced in diesel engines, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
•Have your own tools
•Work effectively within a team

You would work as part of a workshop team in a very busy and changeable environment, whilst communicating well with their Parts, Hire and Sales departments. The right candidate must be adaptable with good problem-solving skills. They are agents for top brand equipment in an ever-changing market and so, to deliver a very high standard to their customers, they will provide the successful candidate with excellent training opportunities.

This is a permanent role, Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week, with overtime available.
