About the role

This is an exciting, highly visible opportunity to take responsibility in a critical area. CISL has been working with business on biodiversity, ecosystem services and natural capital for more than 15 years and is a key global stakeholder in supporting and encouraging ambitious business action, policy setting and financing. Our tools and frameworks include the Biodiversity Impact Metric, a Biodiversity Strategy Primer and our research on the risk to businesses of pollinator loss.You'll join a dynamic team with unique access to CISL's international network and the Cambridge community. Combining delivery of existing workstreams with the development of new projects, you will:

  • Help companies become nature positive, embedding the restoration of nature in their strategies and operating practice
  • Build relationships with some of the world's most influential companies, organisations and funders to identify and advance opportunities for impact
  • Guide colleagues and manage external delivery partners, providing critical input and overseeing project delivery to ensure quality

Job Description

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: 
Support and administration of the main ERP system including cloud-based and on-premises services to allow business operation and continuity while maintaining a strong security posture.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION 
To provide IT telephone, e-mail and deskside support of the business by configuring, supporting and maintaining the ERP system. To record actions taken and use these to reduce repeat failures to maintain IT services to the business.
The IT team provide vital support to all areas of the business and work closely with stakeholders at all levels to provide excellence in service both internally and externally.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 

  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to identify the cause of any issues and proposes solutions or improvements.
  • Writes and maintains user guides and documentation.
  • Continually improves system performance by identifying problems and/or recommending changes.
  • Works with external suppliers to resolve more complex issues.
  • Works with external suppliers to execute system improvements.
  • Assists in the operation of ERP system.
  • Undertakes small- to medium-sized IT projects as instructed by the ERP System Manager.
  • Ensures adherence to compliance standards.
  • Maintains backup of essential data.
  • Performs administrative support duties, as required, to achieve specific objectives.
