As HR Manager you are a confident communicator with plenty of experience in the different areas of HR having created and implemented HR business strategies from scratch.

What you will really be doing

  • Developing and implementing high quality HR strategies to ensure an efficient team that is well treated, supported and motivated. 

  • Taking care of the process required to employ any international/remote employee, handling any external companies required to support the legal compliance in each country.

  • Employee relations and engagement.

Skills and requirements

  • Minimum of CIPD Level 5 or equivalent.

  • Proven experience of working in an operational HR management role, within a fast moving environment. 

  • Experience in creating and implementing HR business strategies and models from scratch.

  • Analytical mindset.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Passion for games would be a plus.

We are currently seeking an experienced HR Coordinator to join an established manufacturing company based outskirts of Scarborough.
The HR Coordinator will support the HR Manager in delivering an effective and proactive HR function across the company.
They will provide a responsive and customer focused HR service to the business by ensuring timely,
efficient and effective HR support and administration is maintained.

Key Responsibilities & Main Duties
* Responsible for the upkeep and management of personnel records and the HR System, ensuring compliance with GDPR.
* Responsible for administering new starter documents, ensuring right to work checks and employment referencing are satisfactory, and all relevant documents are obtained.
* Coordinating the new starter on boarding & inductions process
* Coordinating probation reviews, ensuring relevant review meetings and documents are completed by management in a timely manner.
* Coordinate the recruitment process, managing vacancies, interacting with recruitment agencies, arranging interviews and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed and filed accordingly, ensuring compliance with GDPR.

In Runcorn, we look after the Mersdey Gateway Bridge and the Merseyflow brand, a bridge that connects Runcorn with Widnes. This is a state of the art bridge and with our technology we make sure that the road users journeys are as easy as possible. With the implementation in 2017 of our state of the art technology and brand new call centre, we improved the journeys and the experience of the nearly 75000 daily users.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Recruitment Officer to join our busy team to play a key role in sourcing, assessing, and onboarding employees for our call centres in Leeds city centre and in Runcorn.  Previous experiences of working in a call centre, or similar environment would be a major advantage. 

Reporting to the HR Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of the recruitment process, assessing candidates through interviews and providing hiring outcomes. 

The jobholder will partner with the line managers to oversee relevant aspects of the recruitment process including conducting interviews, preparing assessment packs, etc Managing the pipeline to deliver on target to timely deadlines is required, alongside providing timely management information on pipelines and resourcing activity.

In addition, the jobholder will work with line managers in developing and hosting internal assessment centre activity and to participate in ad hoc projects within the wider HR team, especially related with employer brand awareness and promotion in social media.

Skills knowledge and experience required:

•Passionate about recruitment and candidate care, having previous recruited in a call centre or service business environment.
•Agile, flexible and comfortable working across a range of business functions.
•Able to manage own workload and prioritise a number of concurrent activities.

The Onsite Recruitment Specialist will support the Fulfillment Centre and the site’s business needs for temporary hourly paid support, working in partnership with external staffing providers.
Onsite Recruitment Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Understand and have involvement in Labour Planning requirements using the labour capacity planner. Ensure planning team is kept up to date with current labour supply, highlighting any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensures compliance with UK and EU legislation.
  • Full ownership and responsibility for ensuring compliance regarding Right to work in the UK legislation.
  • Monitor and ensure each agency meet agreed service level agreements.
  • Be responsible for production of metrics relating to temporary staffing and the contingent workforce.
  • Review and establish causes for unfavourable trends in the metrics, provide and implement root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Share findings and best practice with the wider UK High Volume Hiring team.
  • Co-ordinate inductions between Operations, Finance, Agencies, Security and L&D.
  • Monitor consistency with Employee Relations issues and decisions.
  • Ensure agencies are compliant with UK and EU directives in relation to Agency Workers.
  • Monitor agency manager performance and ensuring contractual obligations regarding ratios are met.
  • Co-ordinate regular meetings between agencies and Amazon to drive best practice across the site, and to address any concerns.
  • Audit agencies regularly on quality of assessment and recruitment processes. Increase audits as appropriate.
  • Be liaison between Agencies and Amazon Finance Department regarding payment and processing of invoices.

The Onsite Recruitment Specialist will support the Fulfillment Centre and the site’s business needs for temporary hourly paid support, working in partnership with external staffing providers.
Onsite Recruitment Specialist Responsibilities:
  • Understand and have involvement in Labour Planning requirements using the labour capacity planner. Ensure planning team is kept up to date with current labour supply, highlighting any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Ensures compliance with UK and EU legislation.
  • Full ownership and responsibility for ensuring compliance regarding Right to work in the UK legislation.
  • Monitor and ensure each agency meet agreed service level agreements.
  • Be responsible for production of metrics relating to temporary staffing and the contingent workforce.
  • Review and establish causes for unfavourable trends in the metrics, provide and implement root cause analysis and solutions.
  • Share findings and best practice with the wider UK High Volume Hiring team.
  • Co-ordinate inductions between Operations, Finance, Agencies, Security and L&D.
  • Monitor consistency with Employee Relations issues and decisions.
  • Ensure agencies are compliant with UK and EU directives in relation to Agency Workers.
  • Monitor agency manager performance and ensuring contractual obligations regarding ratios are met.
  • Co-ordinate regular meetings between agencies and Amazon to drive best practice across the site, and to address any concerns.
  • Audit agencies regularly on quality of assessment and recruitment processes. Increase audits as appropriate.
  • Be liaison between Agencies and Amazon Finance Department regarding payment and processing of invoices.

Onsite Recruitment Specialist basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external parties along with the ability to mediate between large groups of suppliers.
  • The ability to facilitate between parties resulting from issues which could be process or people based.
  • A great focus on attention to detail with the ability to multi task in a target driven and fast paced organization.
  • The ability to think on feet and react to a wide range of issues which may or may not have a direct impact on operations.
  • The ability to produce detailed reports from large amounts of data relating to order fulfilment, attrition and people issues which would have a direct effect on future orders for the suppliers concerned.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Flexibility in working hours is essential as would need to be available to work with agencies and the internal recruitment team on induction days to monitor service levels reached.

Onsite Recruitment Specialist preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA graduate.
  • Good IT literacy, particularly MS Excel.
  • Knowledge of employment law and TempAgency/ HR / Payroll practices would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen methodologies would be advantageous.
