Hotel Hospitality Jobs Education Requirements
Generally speaking, room attendants jobs don't need much in the way of formal qualifications, experience in a similar role is often enough; although some establishments do ask that employees have basic GCSEs and competency in English. At the opposite end of the scale, hotel management jobs are usually required to have both experience and appropriate qualifications, such as a Hospitality Management degree.

According to a 2015 report by the Tourism Alliance, there are nearly 20,000 businesses offering accommodation services in the UK, which includes hotels. Between them they bring in more than £14 billion a year in revenue. In 2014, The Caterer remarked that there were plans to create more than 25,000 more hotel rooms by the end of 2015, which means the creation of more jobs within the hotel hospitality sector. That said, competition for jobs is fierce and applicants should ensure that they have all of the skills and qualifications they need in order to be successful within this industry.

Some positions, such as room attendant, will start at the national minimum wage, but many of the progressive roles, such as in management, can lead to a salary of up to £30,000 per annum or more, depending on the location and employer.
