We are a busy innovative practice working across 2 sites with a patient population of 7000 and we are looking for a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) to join our friendly team.This position is part-time hours (up to 24 hrs p/week) to be undertaken flexibly between 2-4 days and so would be suitable for a parent of school age children.
Our practice requires a qualified HCA to undertake general HCA duties including venepuncture (essential), immunisations, ear irrigation, health promotion, wound management, long-term condition management (see job description for more details). An opportunity has arisen for suitably qualified Health Care Assistants to work in the community. The post holder will support the District Nurse in delivering an efficient and high quality nursing service using evidence based practice to a wide range of patients within the locality.
The hours of the service are 0800-2200, Monday - Sunday and are covered on a shift rota basis.
We are looking to recruit a Health Care Assistant to work in the Seaford locality
It is essential that you have NVQ or equivalent, excellent team working and communication skills and the desire to share knowledge and work within an inter-professional framework.
You will be required to work flexibly which will include weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
This is a community post and therefore you must be able to travel throughout the locality, in a timely manner, carrying equipment/staff with you. You must have access to a car and hold a current driving license. You will also be expected to support students as part of their basic training and colleagues as part of their ongoing professional development.
The post holder will need to attend a period of induction and training before commencing in the role.
