The Person
You are a leader in our industry and in our community. This role really has the potential for you to develop the food concept of award-winning outlets to add an innovative twist to the Cambridge dining scene. From overseeing the kitchens operations with the Head Chef, the development of creative food concepts, to the running of daily operations, you will be creating services and experiences to challenge the status quo and become a landmark in Cambridge hospitality. The Role
As Sous Chef you will be responsible for planning and directing food preparation in kitchens, and be reporting directly to the Head Chef. You will help create memorable experiences for guests, whenever and wherever they dine. You will also ensure quality, kitchen maintenance and inventory functions kept to high standards - to make sure your kitchen is always running smoothly.

In early 2021, we will be opening the doors to a brand-new site on Newmarket Road, Cambridge. The Bird or Worm pub will become the newest member of the Wilson Vale portfolio and will serve both the public and the office staff who occupy the adjoining building.
Quite simply, we are looking for the very best talent Cambridge has to offer. We will be responsible for not only cooking the food, but also creating new and exciting concepts for our client’s hospitality and staff feeding.
We will be working with the very best local food suppliers and breweries to ensure that the food offering hits the mark.
In terms of style, the menu will range from bar snacks which may include home made scotch eggs or pig scratchings to small British tapas plates or occasionally, fine dining hospitality. The food will be simple but executed with flavour and flair in mind.

The Exciting Opportunity
The position of a 20 hour per week Commis Chef has become available at Courtyard Edinburgh West. There will be the opportunity for overtime when business levels increase. Reporting into the Head Chef, you will be a vital part of the kitchen team. Duties include food preparation, assisting with service and maintaining health and safety practices.
