    • Arranging meetings and liaising with the property manager
    • Booking the venue for the meetings.

THE ROLE:

Peloton is looking for a self-motivated, dynamic paralegal with 4+ years of experience at a top law firm or in-house commercial practice with a strong focus on data privacy to join our growing international legal team.  In this role, you will be responsible for supporting Peloton’s Data Privacy Counsel (International) and other internal clients primarily across our International business but also working cross functionally with our US teams to assist with data privacy matters. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supporting Peloton’s Data Privacy Counsel on all day-to-day privacy-related legal advice and projects, to include: 
  • Working collaboratively with internal business functions including: 
    • Marketing/CRM;
    • Sales;
    • Member Support; 
    • Product development/engineering teams; and 
    • Peloton Risk & Compliance team in investigating data breach incidents, complex subject access rights requests and complaints;
  • Project risk assessments and privacy impact assessments (PIAs) on relevant data processing systems;
  • Input on drafting and updating corporate policies, procedures and guidelines on Peloton’s use of personal information; 
  • Support International People Team regarding best practices for handling employee data; and 
  • Preparing guidance, education, training, and regular communications on privacy compliance to relevant employees, including delivering data protection training in conjunction with the compliance team to relevant business functions and participating in awareness programs.
  • The role will be focussed on support within the UK and EEA, however due to the global nature of Peloton’s business, this may expand to include additional regions and candidates should be prepared and keen to be involved in data privacy matters on a global basis.

QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE:

  • 4+ years’ experience as a Paralegal at a top law firm or in-house commercial practice with a focus on privacy/ acting as a data protection specialist with thorough knowledge of UK data protection legislation, GDPR/cross-border privacy regulations and related legal frameworks. The ideal candidate should also be able to demonstrate working and advising on general commercial legal matters should support be required by Counsel within the International Legal Team.  
  • Prior experience in a fast paced, commercially focussed organisation a definite plus.
  • Experience of supporting implementation of privacy compliance program to demonstrate ability to fulfill the Responsibilities listed above.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to simplify complicated legal concepts for your business partners. 
  • Collaborative and effective interpersonal skills, keen to develop and support team members and enjoy leading cross-functional collaborations.
  • Strong business acumen and a creative problem solver.
  • Must be a strong team player (no job is too small or too large).
  • Superb organizational skills with the ability to follow deadlines and multitask.
