Due to continued expansion this employer are now looking to grow their team in the Stockport / South Manchester area, they are looking for a full-time experienced Heating Engineer to undertake varied works to include servicing & installation of gas appliances, reactive maintenance and breakdowns.
You will mostly be working on your own but there will be occasions where you will need to work as part of a team on larger projects. There will also be times when an apprentice will accompany for added experience and to assist.

Essential Requirements:
- You will need to hold current ACS accreditation in CCN1, CEN1, WAT1, (CENWAT), CPA1, CKR1, HTR1 A full clean UK driving Licence Must be 25+ & with less than 6 points due to Vehicle Insurance Minimum of 2 years post qualification working experience unsupervised.
- Willing to work overtime when required and occasional weekends for specific scheduled out of hours works & emergency call outs.
- Must have a high standard of workmanship, great communication/customer interaction skills You must have good timekeeping, a tidy work ethic, good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Producing Feasibility Studies and Conceptual designs on UK Gas projects, including pipelines and AGI's.
  • Producing Mechanical / Gas Engineering Detailed Designs on UK gas projects across all pressure tiers.
  • Liaise with multidiscipline teams, including CAD Technicians.
  • Support Project Manager with project delivery and Design Coordination.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure resolution of design queries.
  • Keeping updated records to keep track of scheme progress.
  • Provide technical support to the project.

What we’re looking for:

  • Suitable engineering qualification (Degree/HND or equivalent) and either Chartered or actively working towards Chartered Status
  • Experience in the UK Gas Industry.
  • Experience in designing / planning MP / IP gas infrastructure. (HP experience would be desirable).
  • Knowledge of IGEM Standards, including IGEM/TD/1, IGEM/TD/3 and IGEM/TD/13.
  • Knowledge of technical specifications for equipment including governors, pipe and fittings.
  • Working knowledge of the IGEM/GL/5 process and associated gas industry associated processes (G/17, PS/5, G/35).

As our Gas Installations Engineer you will be installing a variety of gas and electrical cooker and hobs alongside other domestic appliances. We offer the support of a management and technical team with a wealth of Gas and Electric industry knowledge.

We ask that you make customer satisfaction and safety paramount in your day to day role as you:

*Work within industry and company safe working practices
*Make on the spot decisions regarding health & safety at the point of installation
*Completing gas safety checks
*Keep the lines of communication open with customers and other team members

A Few Things About our Gas Installations Engineer:

As a Gas Safe registered business who also have an affiliation with NICEIC we understand the importance of safety and value all of our engineers’ qualifications which means new members of the team will all need;

*Full UK driving license
*ACS, CCN1 & CKR1
*Gas Safe Registration

Although we provide a great training and induction period as well as great development opportunities, we are always on the lookout for new team members that also have;

*LPG
*CENWAT
*Knowledge of integrated and built in appliances
*Electrical qualifications / experience
