Passionate about developing and promoting talent, The Savoy offers unwavering support and recognition to colleagues, as well as having a very competitive benefits plan.Job Description Job Title: Florist  Department: Savoy Flowers  Inspired and Supported by: Creative Floral Design Manager  Salary: £25,750Your purpose will be:   To be responsible for exceeding our guest expectations on a day-to-day basis within our Flower Shop, whilst ensuring the flowers and display are to the agreed standard.   You will be accountable for: <ul><li>To ensure the flower shop meets the hotel brand & 5-star luxury standards </li></ul><ul><li>To ensure all guest flower requests are met with professional service </li></ul><ul><li>To take ownership of any guest request encountered to completion </li></ul><ul><li>To condition and prepare flowers every morning to be used for the flower shop </li></ul><ul><li>To prepare all guest order requests as a priority and deliver to guest rooms </li></ul><ul><li>To prepare flower bouquets and to ensure display stands are up to standard daily including pricing </li></ul><ul><li>To assist with our guest orders as direct contact in a polite and helpful manner with genuine interest </li></ul><ul><li>To ensure guests are charged through our POS system </li></ul><ul><li>To ensure the flower shop is at the highest standard, ensuring quality is maintained at all times. </li></ul><ul><li>To be passionate, creative and encourage all upsell and revenue opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>To ensure stock levels are maintained, organised and monitored </li></ul><ul><li>To assist Savoy Flowers Team with adhoc duties as required, especially at peak times </li></ul><ul><li>To work in a clean and tidy manner, clearing away things you are no longer using.  </li></ul><ul><li>Keep the floors clean and dry to avoid any slips or falls. </li></ul><ul><li>To control the waste of flowers as much as possible. </li></ul><ul><li>To maintain the plants and clean retail areas in the shop </li></ul><ul><li>To maintain amicable and co-operative working relations with other departments. </li></ul><ul><li>To comply with all Food Hygiene and Safety legislation, using working practices that are safe and sensible to your colleagues and to yourself. </li></ul><ul><li>Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when the situation arises. </li></ul><ul><li>To carry out additional tasks as instructed and by reasonable request from the leadership team. </li></ul><ul><li>Adhere to all Savoy policies and procedures as outlined by the hotel. </li></ul><ul><li>Be an active colleague of the Savoy team in our mission of ‘Turning Moments into Memories’ for our guests. </li></ul> Qualifications What you will need to do in this role?  <ul><li>1-3 year experience in Luxury London Retail within Hospitality Industry. </li></ul><ul><li>Confident florist with all elements of Floristry including wedding wiring techniques. </li></ul><ul><li>Outstanding communication skills, both written & verbal. </li></ul><ul><li>A confident & dynamic speaker, able to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of an organization. </li></ul><ul><li>Enthusiastic and positive personality with the ability to build trusting relationships with others. </li></ul><ul><li>Proven organizational skills, works well on their own.
