The Finance Team are looking for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Finance professional to join our busy National Service team. The role will require the successful individual to be well-versed in the functionality of Accounts Payable and a proven ability to work to deadlines, whilst maintaining excellent accuracy in all aspects of your work. You will report to the Finance Operations Manager.

We require an individual skilled in manipulating and understanding large amounts of data who can also turn it into value adding financial analysis which can be understood by non financial members of the business.
In addition, they will also be required to understand and monitor key processes and controls, both within the Finance team and the wider transactions processing team, to ensure the data and systems remain accurate and complete to ensure the business can deliver accurate and timely Net Asset and Gross Margin reporting to business stakeholders.
The role will support the Head of Projects & Assurance but will work closely with all areas of the wider Finance team and other areas of the business.

About the role
As part of a world class team of industry experts, you will conduct original quantitative and qualitative research on the hydrogen market and deliver analysis through the creation of data services, proprietary analyses, written reports, public speaking and custom research engagements. This role will involve modelling the trajectory of the low-carbon hydrogen market over the next three decades. You will be responsible for producing a view on which countries, sectors, industries will adopt this nascent decarbonization technology. In addition, you will work closely with members across the commodities and natural resources business to help determine the impact of hydrogen disruption in traditional energy markets. You will produce regular and timely deliverables on the status of the latest developments in the low-carbon hydrogen market including tracking deployments, investments and technology trends. Finally, you will help produce thematic analysis on the role of fuel cells, the adoption of hydrogen in industrial processes including ammonia, methanol, heating, blending and midstream logistics, and the role of hydrogen in the power and storage sector.
Through writing reports, aggregating and summarizing project-level datasets, building proprietary models, communicating with key industry stakeholders, tracking hydrogen market activity and forecasting adoption you will further develop your and WoodMac’s profile, building relationships with senior contacts at key companies and bodies. You will develop a unique perspective and understanding of the Hydrogen Industry. Your knowledge will be highly valued by WoodMac's clients, with whom you will share your insight via industry-leading written reports, economic models and presentations.

You are passionate about how low-carbon hydrogen can play a part in decarbonizing many sectors of the energy economy. You have a minimum of 3-5 years industry experience in hydrogen, or hydrogen-adjacent industries.
