Financial Reporting Manager
This vacancy is a Director level position within an Investment Bank where you will be acting as a Head of MI Reporting within the finance department. You will be involved in several change initiatives to improve the finance department's operational and strategic effectiveness.
There are also aspects of this role that are business as usual focused. As such, the Financial Reporting Manager must be versatile. This role calls for a high-level understanding of Management Information and its interpretation for the firm's strategic advancement.
Responsibilities:
Oversight of formulating financial reports used in senior-level corporate committees
Strong stakeholder interaction with C-Suite individuals
Understand and articulate market and economic trends relating to the business
Lead in strategic change initiatives as well as business as usual functions
Work with global partners and colleagues in matters of market and financial interpretations impacting the business
Play a strategic part in the implementation of Financial and Planning Analysis tools
Reporting and tracking figures vs. financial projections and budget
Manage/mentor junior members of the team
Criteria
Ideally, a qualified Accountant or have accountancy qualifications.
A strong understanding of Management Information (MI) for forecasting purposes
Experience within Banking, ideally investment banking
Experience of Financial and Planning Analysis tools

About the Role
The company is growing rapidly and now has a global team of 35 full-time equivalents projected to double within 2 years. Their main operations are based in London and they have a subsidiary in the US and a team in Tokyo. In line with this growth, they now require a part-time Finance Administrator to oversee the financial activities of the business and take responsibility for their accounts. The role will involve working closely with the Operations Manager on organizational matters and the Executive Director who oversees strategic financial planning and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
•Managing and recording financial transactions (in multiple currencies) using QuickBooks Online, for our UK and US based companies
•Overseeing our UK payroll which is conducted by an external payroll company
•Ensuring timely accurate handling of accounts payable and receivable
•Maintaining accurate company ledgers
•Processing supplier invoices for approval and payment (bi-weekly)
•Preparing invoices to funders and monitoring payment
•Produce monthly management accounts showing cash flow, profit and loss and balance sheets
•Maintenance of our top-level income/expenditure and cashflow forward projections
•Prepare information for our auditors (both in the US and UK) on our annual results
•Additional bookkeeping duties as required by the management team
You will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Operations Manager, Funding Manager, and the UK and US auditors on a continual basis. You will ensure that the books are meticulously kept, the financial processes within the business run seamlessly, and the leadership team has accurate financial information. The company operates a paperless office and you will be expected to be work confidently on a range of cloud-based software some of which maybe new to you. Their key tools are QuickBooks, MS Office, Dropbox and standard communications tools.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications :
•Suitable relevant accounting qualifications (ACCA, CIMA or similar desirable)
•At least three years’ experience in accounting/bookkeeping
•Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
•Excellent and flawless skills with QuickBooks Online and common office efficiency/cloud software tools
•A good university first degree BSc/BA
•Right to work in the UK
Salary, Location and Start Date:
•Currently the organization operates remotely but they look forward to the opportunity to reopen their offices in London Bridge, London
•This can be a remote working position
•Salary: depending on experience and qualifications
•This is a part-time position (15-20 hours per week), ideally spread out over 3-4 days per week

The successful candidate will have experience working within a similar role such as stock analysis, audit or reconciliations. You will have an understanding of logistics and supply chain and will have worked in partnership with 3PL's or suppliers. Attention to detail, excellent numerical skills and processing accuracy is essential for the role as is an analytical approach with strong problem solving skills. Candidates with previous experience working with NAV or Vision are encouraged to apply but MRP's will still be considered. Candidates who have worked within the FMCG sector would also be at an advantage but again not essential This is an interim role and is expected to last for between 3 and 6 months. Candidate must be available to start immediately.
