JE141:Lead Design Coordinator Location: Leeds Salary: £50,000 Per annum  Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Lead Design Coordinator on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>To comply with company procedures and work instructions, guide notes and other information that forms part of the quality assurance, health and safety and environmental management systems.</li><li>To develop a Design Budget with the Project Manager, and to develop the following documentation.</li><li>Contract Financial Reporting (CFR) for design budget</li><li>Design Deliverable List</li><li>Develop Design Management Plan – incl. Design for Manufacturer (DfMA), use of standard designs.</li><li>Help develop and close out Designers Risk Assessments (DRA) on designs in a timely manner.</li><li>Issue AFC documentation for construction.</li><li>Review drawings for as built construction.</li><li>Ensure all design and documentation is logged on EPDM correctly</li><li>Collate all necessary design information for Health & Safety file.</li><li>To ensure all design meets with the necessary client specifications and any national standards.</li><li>Carry out and implement Technical governance at the beginning of all projects.</li><li>Ensuring all design risk are captured from the client and mitigate</li><li>Hold Challenge workshops at commencement of project, and at completion of outline design.</li><li>Ensure all responsibilities of the Principal Designers role are carried out in a timely manner.</li><li>Submit designs to client for review.</li><li>Review Particular Specifications (PS) to ensure minimum required information is submitted for procurement.</li><li>Expediting and reviewing subcontractor designs. Submit to technical specialist for comments, in a timely manner</li><li>Attend Design Review Meetings with client</li><li>To attend Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) if necessary to ensure S/C designs are compliant.</li><li>To communicate fully with the Project Manager/Engineer, other members of the team, other departments and section of the company, the Client, vendors, and sub-contractors on matters relating to the project.</li><li>To assist in the production, tracking and reporting of the project programme.</li><li>To fully participate in the development of procedures and systems for use within the Engineering department.</li><li>To comply with all Health and Safety responsibilities commensurate with the role, as outlined in the Health and Safety policy.</li><li>Any other duties commensurate with the position as may be assigned from time to time.</li></ul>Skills and Qualifications: <ul><li>HNC/D in civil, electrical, mechanical or process engineering or equivalent level qualification</li><li>Process Safety/Hazard Management</li><li>CDM Regulations 2015 (for Designers preferred)</li><li>Demonstrable experience commensurate to the level of the role, preferably within the water/wastewater industry or other relevant sector</li><li>Experience in working within a design and build environment.</li><li>IT literate with an ability to use a wide range of IT packages including Microsoft Office</li></ul>Location: Leeds Salary: £50,000 Per annum
