Role & Responsibilities:

  • You will be part of a call out rota.

The Ideal Person:
  • At least 3 years experience working with Automatic gates - sliding, swing, revolving etc as well as a variety of car park barriers, bollards or similar equipment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
  • Knowledge of a range of security products: FAAC, CAME, BPT, BENINCA, Parking Facilities etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • DHF Gate Safety or Gatesafe qualification - not essential as the company can provide this qualification for the right candidate.
  • You will live in or close to Merseyside in order to attend to various customer sites and also get to the office when required.

Our ideal Technical Support Specialist will have the below skills/attributes:
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering/equivalent
  • Proven successful experience in a Technical/Customer Support (phone/email/chat-based) role
  • Commercially minded, self-reliant and highly proactive, possessing a work ethic that demonstrates dedication to the company, its mission, personal pride and the team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Skilled time juggler - you manage your time like a pro and know the value of good process

Job purpose:

To enable the Company to achieve the agreed contractual standard of service required by completing initial training in the workshop reconditioning community mobility equipment to gain essential product knowledge. On completion of initial training this will enable you to work out in the field delivering, collecting, repairing and servicing community mobility equipment. The expectation is that once fully trained the majority of jobs will be completed on a first time fix basis.

Key responsibilities

·Delivering and collecting community equipment /wheelchairs to and from service user’s homes and NHS departments, ensuring at all times that the Company Infection Control Policy is followed.

·Servicing and repairing wheelchairs and community mobility equipment in the field with the aim of achieving a first time fix whenever possible.

·Ensure all paper work relating to each job is read carefully and completed with all the necessary information regarding parts used and action taken written onto the job card to enable the administration team to accurately update the data base.

·Ensure all tasks related to the hand held scanner are completed with care and accuracy on a daily basis.

·Ensure any PPE supplied for use in carrying out your duties is used as instructed.

·Observe all regulations covering the driving and use of the Company vehicle on the public highway and be aware of employee responsibility under the Health & Safety at Work Act.

·Keep the vehicle you use in a tidy state and ensure stocks of all necessary parts are replenished each day.

·ensure the vehicle safety check and the van check sheet are done each week

·Maintain a professional customer service attitude and always use discretion when dealing with all service users and other agencies, always wear your uniform and identification badge, and ensure the uniform is kept clean and laundered at all times.

The team is made up of a Medical Consultant, Therapists and Specialist Rehabilitation Engineers based at Aintree Hospital. Apprentice Rehabilitation Engineer

The Team wish to recruit a motivated, adaptable, compassionate and dedicated individual to join then as an Apprentice Rehabilitation Engineer. The post includes a fully-funded Degree.

This is a fantastic apprenticeship opportunity, enabling you to gain valuable “hands on” experience in Rehabilitation Engineering whilst studying over a three year period.

Apprenticeship Training Programme

Person Specification, and Essential Qualifications

  • To be considered, you must have A Level qualifications (128 UCAS points or grades ABB) or an equivalent such as a BTEC National Extended Diploma (grades DDM) or an HNC.
  • In addition you should have Maths and English GCSE Grade C or equivalent.
  • Other acceptable combinations exist, including recognition of extensive work experience.

We are looking for a Structural Engineer for a 3 months+ inside of IR35 contract in the Liverpool area (with opportunities to work from home), that will be on-going for the right person. The PAYE or Umbrella pay rate is negotiable, depending on experience.

As a Engineering Trainer Lifting within Speedy, you will deliver a range of technical training as well as advising our customers on Technical aspects to enable them to complete the work correctly and safely.

You will work autonomously to plan and execute training required for individuals ‘development. As a Engineering Trainer Lifting you also have the ability to design, prepare, test and deliver new training courses.

What you’ll need:

  • A minimum of 3 years experience maintaining, servicing and inspecting lifting equipment
  • Knowledge of lifting regulations including: Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (LOLER), Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER), The Health and Safety at Work Act, BS 7121
  • Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) Qualifications are desirable
  • Applicants wanted for specific course delivery of Speedy’s LEEA accredited bespoke training courses.
  • PTLLS would be desirable
  • Additional Health and Safety qualifications such as IOSH and/or NEBOSH would be an advantage.

Job Description

Mechanical Engineer- Fixed term up to 12 months

Location: Flint

This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanical project engineer to

broaden and develop their skills. This role provides leadership in the design and development of manufacturing equipment and supporting processes and has the ability to contribute significantly to the plant delivering it’s business results.

The primary purpose of the role is to evaluate, develop and procure equipment and processes to meet manufacturing and business objectives. Reporting to the Process, Projects and Improvement Team (PPIT) Leader, this role has responsibility for leading engineering projects and ensuring that: safety, commercial, technical and timescale objectives are met.

The role holder will lead a portfolio of 2-3 projects concurrently, as well as taking wider management responsibility for projects delivered on a turnkey basis. Project value can range from £15,000 to £10 million.  The scope of Projects undertaken can be broad, offering a diverse and interesting portfolio of work.

 The project engineer will lead teams made up of internal and contractor resources and will need to develop strong working relationships to ensure that the teams met objectives and deliver against project milestones.

Whilst the primary objectives of this role are focused at the project, the Project Engineer is also be an important member of the PPIT & Mill technical team and will contribute to wider Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost objectives. As such, they may provide technical leadership and input for a functional group or process.

RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Deliver high safety standards, acts as a role model and ensure compliance with company and country regulations.
  • Promote the use of risk assessments and the Management of Change process for the modification and installation of equipment.
  • Work to achieve the corporate vision for environmental responsibility, in compliance with all the applicable laws and regulations
  • Ensure that projects meet or exceed agreed success criteria which includes: safety, technical and budgetary elements.
  • Contribute to the Mill and Business cost saving programs.
  • Maintain strong technical networks to ensure knowledge transfer and the success of projects.
  • Liaise with external vendors of equipment, manage turnkey projects and take responsibility for successful project delivery. This may necessitate international travel.
  • Manage people effectively to ensure they meet their project milestones in terms of timescales, technical deliverable and budget

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • The successful candidate will ideally be an Engineering Graduate (with an electrical degree or equivalent) with relevant FMCG experience (Experience of working with high speed packaging machinery and/or
  • Candidates must have a strong focus on safety and be able to demonstrate consideration of this in all aspects of project management
  • Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of managing successful engineering projects, coupled with commercial acumen and good general business knowledge.
  • With advanced project management skills, candidates will have a detailed understanding of the project life cycle including: forecasting, budgetary control, risk management, setting and monitoring project KPIs and controls.
  • Ideal candidates are likely to have prior experience of asset engineering, maintenance or small projects, prior to moving into an engineering project management role. They will already demonstrate a depth of experience and knowledge of engineering project management.
  • Experience of turnkey project management is desirable.
  • Candidates must demonstrate that they have built and maintained successful working relationships, built effective project teams, have strong communication skills and the ability to manage internal customers, Engineers and external contractors.

Gatehouse Automation is a well established business who have been trading for over 20 years specialising within the automatic gate industry.

Due to an ever expanding workload we are seeking an Automatic Gate Engineer to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

  • Basic Salary of up to £32,000 per annum.
  • Laptop, mobile phone and company vehicle provided.
  • Working hours are Monday to Friday (40 hour week).

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out installation, service, maintenance & fault-finding on a range of automatic gates, barriers & bollards across the North West.
  • Using various equipment such as FAAC, BPT, CAME, NICE and so on.
  • Working with a range of commercial and residential clients.
  • You will be part of a call out rota.

The Ideal Person:

  • At least 3 years experience working with Automatic gates - sliding, swing, revolving etc as well as a variety of car park barriers, bollards or similar equipment.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (Essential).
  • Knowledge of a range of security products: FAAC, CAME, BPT, BENINCA, Parking Facilities etc.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • DHF Gate Safety or Gatesafe qualification - not essential as the company can provide this qualification for the right candidate.
  • You will live in or close to Merseyside in order to attend to various customer sites and also get to the office when required.
