• Conducting reactive and PPM maintenance on automated cranes and chain and roller conveyor systems
• Monitoring the operation and ensuring stoppages are dealt with promptly

The Role

This is a remote position, we support you being fully remote, with optional access to a great office in the heart of Shoreditch if you prefer the hustle and bustle of a London office!

As an Engineering manager to one of our key squads, you will work hand in hand with a product manager to ensure your squad is working on the things that matter most to our customers. You will provide both technical and thought leadership, supporting and developing both your squad and our growing engineering team.

Your Technical Environment

You’ll be working on our core platform allowing small businesses to access funding seamlessly through fantastic UX and automation of complex processing such as risk analysis and payment processing.

Our core platform is built in .NET, C# WebAPI and ReactJS. Our technology stack is always evolving with us, as such, we are now developing new services serverless first, and we have plans to upgrade and uplift our older services to support our platform scaling.

Requirements

Eden Scott are looking for an Ebeam Lithography Engineer to work with a leading Manufacturer of III-V photonic devices.

My client provides custom foundry services in InP, GaAs, GaN and GaSb on 2', 3' and 4' wafers, and have ongoing, active research and development programmes in various technology areas in partnership with private and public bodies. They also develop and manufacture custom and standard InP laser products for the FTTx (Fibre to the Home / Premises / Building) and PON (Passive Optical Network) markets and are currently in the process of ramping production to >1M devices per month. are ISO 9001: 2015 certified and currently employ circa 70 staff in R&D, wafer fabrication and backend assembly & test at their facility.

Reporting to the Director of Process Engineering, you will take responsibility for all Ebeam lithography processes but not limited to, process library, SPC, daily checks, process development, optimisation and sustaining. Including all related metrology. You will drive process readiness for production to continually improve NPI and manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness. Support transition of new processes and products from R&D to production. Own process yield and support end-to-end yield improvement through improved process integration and collaboration with other process engineers, product engineering and R&D.

Responsibilities:

• Establish continuous improvement of product and mechanical yields by process characterisation, standardisation on best practices and application of effective SPC.
• Take ownership for process equipment, and report KPI’s.
• Manage and execute assigned projects.
• Own and deliver improvements in assigned process / equipment responsibilities.
• Project manage new processes in conjunction with Development Engineering.
• Develop, from concept through qualification to production, new processes: e.g.
• Compound semiconductor processing on 3” and 4” substrates
• Ensure engineering documentation and procedures comply with ISO 9001 and most demanding customer requirements
• Work as part of Operations team to ensure timely delivery of high quality products.
• Publish technical literature and reports in relation to process innovations and be primary link with internal and external product design as appropriate.
• Manage process to suitable production release for inclusion into the company library.

Requirements:

• Qualified to at least degree level with at least 5 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience of developing/implementingnew Ebeam lithographyprocesses.
• Experience in III-V compound semiconductors and optoelectronics specifically would be an advantage.
• Experience in the use of RaithEbeam lithography tools an advantage

Ideally some experience in:

• Designing and implementing security solutions which meet or exceed the requirements by other parts of the business (Global Security Assurance team) as well as external security frameworks (CIS/NIST etc).

• Advising, mentoring and engineering in the development and design of security standard methodologies and implementation of solid security principles across the organisation.

Familiarity with:

• Network security architecture principle such as network zoning and segmentation as well as Software Defined networking solutions such as SD-WAN.

• The delivery of virtual applications and desktops (especially for use by software developers).

• An understanding of typical on premise compute/storage infrastructure and the associated security controls used to protect this non-cloud infrastructure.

• Zero trust principles especially in a software development environment.

Requirements (Education, Certification, Training, and Experience):

• BSc or Advanced Degree in an engineering, or equivalent experience.

Any of these certifications are helpful although not crucial:

• CISSP, CISM, ISSAP, ISSEP or SANS-related certifications.
