Role

The company is now looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a foundry / machine shop environment to work a 38-hour 2 shift work pattern (rotating) of 5 mornings (6am to 2pm) 5 afternoons )2pm to 10pm)

If production demands changed this could in future change to 3 shifts to include 4 nights (10pm to 6am)

 

The factory is predominantly a Foundry / Extrusions and Machining site specialising in the production of specialised alloys using Gas Fired Melting Furnaces and Billet / Ingot Casting Machines but also has a number of Machine Shops with Lathes and Milling Machines etc., Extrusion Press departments with Billet Handling equipment, Conveyors, Saws, Heat Treatment Ovens as well as lifting equipment /overhead cranes and also some Specialised Testing Laboratories.

 

 

Candidate Requirements(it is understood that all these might not be possible)

 

  • Hands on maintenance fitter electrically (biased) but with substantial mechanical experience
  • Fault finding ability (breakdown situations)
  • PLC experience would be an advantage (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
  • Hydraulics / Pneumatics experience would be useful
  • Overhead crane maintenance experience important (up to 10 tonne)
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation and temperature control of gas fired furnaces
  • Knowledge of natural gas burner systems
  • Small panel building experience would be useful
  • Some general mechanical experience would also be important
  • IPAF and FLT licences are important (training can be done)

In return the company offers an immediate permanent opportunity for the right candidate at a competitive package Circa £31,500 per annum. To include 20 days holiday per annum and contributary pension scheme after probationary period

My client are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Electrician on a mobile basis covering the North West area (Predominantly Greater Manchester). This is a temporary role initially with the view to going permanent working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary with necessary training also provided. Although Electrical bias, the sucessful applicant will also be expected to carry out other duties.

A key member of the maintenance team responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repair to all building services. Ensuring high levels of compliance as well as Health & Safety at all times. The post holder will have a proven track record working on Facilities Management contracts.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Undertake Reactive and PPM works to all electrical plant - including minor works, fault finding and repairs.
  • Complete Minor works Certificates to BS7671 standards.
  • Supervising & monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
  • Ensure that plant faults & defects are remedied in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works.
  • Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are always prepared and used to ensure safe working practices.
  • Develop a good working relationship with all members of staff, subcontractors and the end client.
  • Keep all plant rooms in a clean and tidy condition.
  • Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate. Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPI's/SLA's.
  • Ensure CAFM system is kept up to date and that PPM / reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
  • Undertake lone working when and where required, subject to passing satisfactory training.
  • Arrange and provide holiday and sickness cover at short notice and be flexible in their working patterns.
  • Carry out basic fabric maintenance as and when required.
  • Carry out any other additional tasks as directed by the account management team.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

  • An Electrician who is qualified to at least one of the below:
  • Be time served in a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
  • City & Guilds Parts A&B
  • City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & Part 2
  • City & Guilds 2330 Part 1 & Part 2
  • NVQ 2330 Level 2 & Level 3
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Due to the nature of the environment it is essential that you have the ability to pass the standard security vetting process. This will include a criminal records check.

Our electrical maintenance technicians provide vital day-to-day estate maintenance to ensure our staff can continue to provide the best care to our patients and service users.

We have a wide range of services across our localities so each day will be different and busy but rewarding. You will support the maintenance supervisor to ensure that our wards and departments receive responsive support for logged calls; ensure ongoing compliance; work with other trade contractors and attend to emergency repairs.

You will have previous maintenance experience, ideally with knowledge of NHS estates and associated equipment although not essential. You will be reliable and committed, with great people skills. You will be willing to work flexible hours and to participate in on-call duties out of normal working hours to attend to emergency repairs.

This role requires an enthusiastic, highly motivated individual with excellent interpersonal skills to support the Head of Estates.

The post holder’s main duties will be to:

Support the Head of Estates in the delivery of safe Electrical/Mechanical services across Trust buildings and the safe management of all electrical and engineering related services ensuring compliance with Trust safety standards and procedures;

Support the development and implementation of local plans for the Estates function, ensuring that services are offered to the highest standard, run smoothly, efficiently and economically in a way which meets all regulatory and healthcare requirements;

Ensure the efficient and safe operation of all estates buildings, plant, equipment and services; including statutory inspections, operation of permit to work systems and other safe systems of work and to ensure the Trust meets its duties for statutory compliance;

Support and deliver minor capital and revenue schemes including site supervision, the witnessing of commissioning tests and the production of snagging lists and general commissioning responsibilities;

Be responsible for the planned and responsive maintenance systems and ensuring the same are kept up to date by the use of manual and computerised systems.

Skills and Experience:

Previous experience in a similar estates operational role would be an advantage, as would previous NHS experience.

You must have the ability and willingness to work flexible hours including over time and call outs as workload demands.

  • Managing and filtering high traffic inboxes at Partner level including using company software to digitally file all correspondence and documents

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Competitive Salary – Manchester (remote working applies)

The Role

SPIE UK, a smart engineering and technology-driven solutions provider for the built environment, are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support front end, installation, maintenance and life cycle business operations.

The successful candidate will provide full project lifecycle costing and design duties from estimating a solution for a client concept or problem, to a designed and costed proposal, before developing the design to enable successful construction and handover within agreed budgets.

The key responsibilities of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer include, but are not limited to:

•Building services design duties will include but not be limited to the following:

•HVAC and Psychrometric Relationships when applied to environmental control
•Public Health, WFI, RO, DI systems
•Steam and Condensate, LPHW, HPHW
•Chilled Water and the refrigeration cooling cycle
•Compressed Air
•Gas Services

•Preparation of RFIs to ensure clients’ requirements are achieved and recorded.
•To issue final construction stage packages with the relevant document issue sheet to clients.
•Attendance to coordination meetings at the client’s site or the delegation of such duties to the project lead CAD technician.

The Person

The key skills and qualities of a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

•Engineering qualification to HNC level as a minimum.
•Conversant with a wide range of mechanical and electrical building service systems and equipment.
•Building Management Systems and associated principles.
•IT literate with a technical understanding of IT packages relevant to the role, mainly Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Hevacomp
•Experience of working in a controlled manner with existing systems but able to suggest and implement efficiencies
•Experience within the Food & Beverage sector
•Experience with instrumentation and BMS
•Experience with process pipework/systems (Desirable)

Excellent immediate full-time opportunity for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established company based in Manchester!

 

Company

They provide extensive range of services and products including Control panel and MCC manufacture, Electrical and Mechanical System Design, Certified Hazardous Area Designs, PLC and SCADA programming, Home Automation, Certified Electrical and Mechanical Installations, Full Commissioning Services and Project Management.

 

Role

The company is now looking for an experienced Industrial Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a foundry / machine shop environment to work a 38-hour 2 shift work pattern (rotating) of 5 mornings (6am to 2pm) 5 afternoons )2pm to 10pm)

If production demands changed this could in future change to 3 shifts to include 4 nights (10pm to 6am)

 

The factory is predominantly a Foundry / Extrusions and Machining site specialising in the production of specialised alloys using Gas Fired Melting Furnaces and Billet / Ingot Casting Machines but also has a number of Machine Shops with Lathes and Milling Machines etc., Extrusion Press departments with Billet Handling equipment, Conveyors, Saws, Heat Treatment Ovens as well as lifting equipment /overhead cranes and also some Specialised Testing Laboratories.

 

 

Candidate Requirements(it is understood that all these might not be possible)

 

  • Hands on maintenance fitter electrically (biased) but with substantial mechanical experience
  • Fault finding ability (breakdown situations)
  • PLC experience would be an advantage (Allen Bradley / Siemens)
  • Hydraulics / Pneumatics experience would be useful
  • Overhead crane maintenance experience important (up to 10 tonne)
  • Knowledge of Instrumentation and temperature control of gas fired furnaces
  • Knowledge of natural gas burner systems
  • Small panel building experience would be useful
  • Some general mechanical experience would also be important
  • IPAF and FLT licences are important (training can be done)

In return the company offers an immediate permanent opportunity for the right candidate at a competitive package Circa £31,500 per annum. To include 20 days holiday per annum and contributary pension scheme after probationary period
