Temporary Works Coordinator

The Role

Tata Steel Strip Products UK is seeking a Temporary Works to join it's Project Engineering and Delivery team and help deliver an exciting and diverse portfolio of projects. Our projects are both strategically important to the UK Strip Steel business and in many cases high value and technologically complex.

This role requires a excellent understanding of temporary works processes, designs and procedures, and how they are applied in use. You should be a problem solver who can work with a large number of stakeholders to agree solutions and help teams achieve a common goal. You should also feel comfortable with data and basic data management tools, to be able to quickly share updates on progress.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of personal and team Health and Safety ensuring that:
    • The working environment is organised, respectful, inclusive, healthy and appropriate for the work being undertaken
    • Ongoing engagement takes place with direct, indirect and contractor teams
  • Manage input from multiple projects in relation to the TW requirements, competencies, training and on-site delivery.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates openly with vendors, internal management and other engineers/managers in the Projects and Design Engineering team
  • Collaborates in a cross-functional team environment to drive initiatives
  • Coordinates resources, provide clear direction and timelines for deliverables, and delegate tasks where appropriate
  • Effectively handle multiple priorities to meet all objectives and deadlines

Competencies, Skills and Experience Required

  • Key Requirement
    • Chartered civil or structural engineer with minimum of 8 years' experience of all types of temporary works construction processes on site, or:
    • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in civil & or structural engineering with a minimum of 10 years' experience of all types of temporary works construction process on site, or:
    • Educated to HND / HNC (or equivalent) in civil & or structural engineering with a min of 15 years' experience of all types of temporary works construction processes on site
  • Received up to date formal temporary works training
  • In depth knowledge of BS 5975:2008+A1:2018
  • PAS 8811:2017 & PAS 8812:2016
  • Will need to acquire an in depth knowledge of TSSP UK's Temporary Works Policy & Procedures
  • Maintain, audit and verify all TW Permits/Certificates on TSSP UK's Electronic Temporary Works register
  • NEBOSH Qualified to National General Certificate level
  • Engineering knowledge and understanding (ability to read & understand technical drawings and specifications)
  • Experience of design principles, current codes of practices
  • Experience in a management and or leadership role
  • A demonstrated ability to act autonomously with regard to decision making within their area of expertise (ability to identify & agree competencies of proposed TWC's, ATWC's, TWS's, TWD's & TWDC's)
  • Ability to verify / audit contracting companies temporary work procedures
  • Have a sound knowledge of Health, Safety and Welfare legislation, hazards and safe systems of work.

We have an exciting role for a Marketing and Design Assistant to join our marketing team based at our headquarters in Carlisle, reporting to and assisting our Marketing Manager.  The role would suit someone with excellent creative writing skills who is currently looking to progress their career within a predominantly B2C marketing. This is a varied and challenging role with a large well known organisation that is focused on achieving growth.

Stagecoach Cumbria and North Lancashire provides local bus services throughout Cumbria, Lake District, Morecambe & Lancaster, operating over 270 buses and employing over 760 staff.

Role
The Marketing and Design Assistant is a pivotal role in the business and responsibilities include:   

  • Supporting the Marketing Manager with the co-ordination and implementation of campaign plans
  • Developing artwork and illustrations for campaigns across Cumbria and North Lancashire, for the use in print and digital media
  • Assisting in managing the companies intranet & supporting internal communications
  • Maintaining and creating content on the website through a CMS system
  • Preparing and developing company marketing collateral both digital and print
  • Responsibility for promotional displays in travel shops and on bus
  • Co-ordinating company events for promotions and on the day event support
  • Responsibility for Social Media accounts including reporting functionalities
  • Assisting with purchase orders and recording spend throughout the financial year
  • Supporting the Marketing Manager by compiling reports and statistics on marketing campaigns
  • General support to other teams where appropriate and when required

 

 

Skills and Experience Required;

  • Energetic with a positive attitude
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office inc Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience of Adobe Creative Suite: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator
  • Previous marketing and design experience in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at one time
  • Ability to build and develop internal and external relationships
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated and a proactive team player
  • Keen attention to detail


Location
Based in our Head Office at Carlisle though there will be requirements to visit other company locations from time to time.
