They are looking to recruit a number of Community Wellbeing Mentors.The charity has three bases in Redhill, Tadworth and Guildford. They are a charitable organisation which aims to improve the lives of children, young people and their families. Since 1997 they have offered 1:1 and group support for a range of emotional needs including low self-esteem, anxiety, anger, relationships, bereavement, bullying and neurodevelopmental needs. Their methodology is solution focused, and their approach is to encourage children and young people to recognise and build on their existing strengths. Since April 2021, our client has been delivering a range of emotional and wellbeing services to children, young people and families.Job PurposeThe post holder will work as part of the Community Wellbeing team providing strengths-based solution focused interventions through 1:1 and group work for children, young people, and families across three geographical based areas in Surrey. The post holder will be encouraged to support and grow their shared learning culture and as part of the wider Surrey Wellbeing Partnership offer. The post holder will play a crucial role in celebrating and supporting children and young people to thrive using a range of creative, innovative and collaborative methods to support the safety and wellbeing of children and young people to improve mental health. The focus will be on providing evidence-based interventions to improve emotional health and build resilience. Post holders will work within the community, working systemically with families and schools to maximise outcomes for children and young people. The post holder will be committed to providing equal opportunities for all service users, ensuring a diverse and inclusive environment where everyone is treated with respect and fairness, regardless of their background or personal characteristics.
