Paralegal Responsibilities:


• Work in the best interest of the client
• Taking instructions from clients
• Draft, collate and send any supporting legal and financial documents
• Deal with any financial element of transactions

• Act on any compliance requests

Paralegal Requirements:


Strong background within Conveyancing/ property law

• Paralegal qualification preferred but not essential
• A strong understanding of property law

• Pay stamp taxes and deal with the registration of client and lender with the land registry.

• Strong background within Conveyancing/Property Law
• The ideal candidate will be qualified Solicitor/ Legal Executive/ Conveyancer with at least 3 years PQE and should be confident in handling all aspects of transactions.
• Self-sufficient and have a good knowledge of a range of sale and purchase transactions with limited supervision provided.
• Solid experience in residential and commercial property matters is essential.

ROLE:

The Legal & Compliance Analyst will be part of a growing legal and operations function key to helping scale up Launchmetrics’ global operations. You’ll undertake a varied workload reporting to the Legal Counsel but primarily will help with data privacy issues and provide stewardship on compliance, regulatory and risk matters for the organisation including facilitating commercial contracts. ABOUT YOU

  • Master's degree or LLM in business law/data protection, with minimum 6 months experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function for a SaaS company or in a law firm.
  • Understanding of complex global data privacy laws and principles, including the GDPR, ePrivacy, UK and EU member state privacy laws and guidelines, the CCPA etc.
  • Ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions.

ROLE:

The Legal & Compliance Analyst will be part of a growing legal and operations function key to helping scale up Launchmetrics’ global operations. You’ll undertake a varied workload reporting to the Legal Counsel but primarily will help with data privacy issues and provide stewardship on compliance, regulatory and risk matters for the organisation including facilitating commercial contracts. We’re looking for a passionate, pragmatic individual capable of operating across a multidisciplinary role, driving best practices and processes that enable our growth and success.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure our ongoing compliance with GDPR and wider data protection regulations in all territories, as well as scoping of future requirements
  • Develop, implement, update and enforce day-to-day data and security related privacy policies, standards and procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable data protection laws and accreditation standards.
  • Assist on a broad variety of legal topics, including drafting, review, assessment, and editing of a variety of contracts, including service agreements, vendor agreements, NDAs, etc.
  • Conduct regulatory and compliance scanning and work with Legal Counsel on subsequent reporting, developing new policies in and practices in light of changing legal requirements and best practices
  • Work with the Legal Counsel to ensure upper management is informed of all compliance issues.
  • Provide general support to Legal Counsel and assisting with special projects, as needed.

ABOUT YOU

  • Master's degree or LLM in business law/data protection, with minimum 6 months experience within a compliance, legal, audit and/or risk function for a SaaS company or in a law firm.
  • Understanding of complex global data privacy laws and principles, including the GDPR, ePrivacy, UK and EU member state privacy laws and guidelines, the CCPA etc.
  • Ability to undertake large, long-term projects, develop alternative methods to complete them, and implement solutions.
  • Detail-oriented approach needed to recommend and implement strategic improvements on a range of data privacy and data protection issues.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with the appropriate discretion.

Our client in London is currently seeking a highly experienced and motivated Legal Operations Associate
This will be a 12 month position with possibility of extension.
The Legal Operations ‘Process and Tooling’ pillar seeks a Legal Operations Associate to support the EMEA region. This role will service a variety of stakeholders throughout the region, and support/partner the London-based OC Management and Legal Ops resource.
This is a full-time position covering core London business hours, based in the UK. Flexibility required to liaise with California-based teams.
Responsibilities:

- Primary point of contact (internally and externally) for operational work in the EMEA region e.g. billing, matter management and other legal applications
- Efficiently produce reports or data sets for EMEA stakeholders (on an ad hoc and scheduled basis) to support senior leaders, department initiatives and field based operations
- Deal with day-to-day enquiries within the EMEA region to ensure excellent service levels and the momentum of key processes (e.g. matter opening, invoice enquiries, secondment requests etc.)
- Research and resolve enquiries/issues with vendor billing, vendor management and internal invoicing issues in a timely manner
- Liaise with key US-based teams (e.g. Contracts, Accounts Payable, Finance, Legal Operations team ) to ensure timely response to stakeholder enquiries
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting and analytics processes and work with various stakeholders to implement changes.
- Represent EMEA region perspective, contribute to process design efforts, special projects and continuous improvement initiatives to positively impact the Legal team and its clients.
- Manage process documentation and provide ongoing support for implemented processes.
- Act as local gatekeeper to regional Legal Operations templates and materials (e.g. RfP templates)
- Apply solid task management, time management and organisation skills to ensure the best possible service to our internal and external stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in Business, Finance, or Data management)
- 3+ years experience at a law firm or in-house legal department
- Experience supporting legal operations technology, specifically any e-billing system
- Advanced Proficiency with Microsoft and Google business applications
Experience communicating (written and oral) across different teams in an organization
- A passion for delivering excellent customer service
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships within Legal and cross-functionally, across multiple geographies
- Self-starter, able to ruthlessly prioritize their work and clearly communicate intention
- Capability to work in a high pressure, globally focussed environment with many competing priorities
- Ability to take accountability for pursuing the closure of tasks/enquiries in a timely manner
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years working at a law firm or in-house legal department
- Accounting/Finance background or law firm billing experience
- Experience with contracts and document management systems
- Experience working with Legal teams in a fast-paced, large, complex, non-hierarchical environment
- Demonstrated training and auditing skills
- Competence in European languages (especially German)
