Aspire Medical Staffing is looking for a Clinical Psychologist to provide services at the Naval Branch Health Clinic in Fort Worth.

 

SITE OF SERVICE:

  • Mental Health Department at Branch Health Clinic Fort Worth, TX in support of Naval Health Clinic Corpus Christi, TX. The health care worker (HCW) providing service under this task order will be supporting the Navy's Medical Home Port program. The objective of this program is to enhance continuity, wellness and disease management for the patients.

HOURS:

  • HCW shall provide services Monday through Friday, excluding the day of observance of federal holidays, between the hours of 0700 and 1700 with a
    one (1) hour uncompensated meal break (forty (40) hour work schedule to be determined).
  • In no instance will the HCWs be required to provide services in excess of eighty (80) hours per two (2) week period.
  • Specific days, hours, and shift length will be scheduled by the designated government representative. 
  • The specific schedule for each two-week period will be provided 1 month in advance by the government supervisor or designee. 
  • Any planned absences of the HCW shall be communicated to the government supervisor in advance.
  • At the mutual agreement of the contractor and the Government, alternative schedules may be implemented such as a compressed work schedule.
  • Any changes in the schedule shall be coordinated between the HCW and the government.
  • The Government reserves the right to change shift hours with 72 hours’ notice to accommodate patient care needs and mission requirements

SPECIFIC DUTIES.

  • Provide concise documentation of care and recommendations in patient’s medical record in no less than twenty four (24) hours after the patient is seen.
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental and substance related disorders of individuals and administer programs of treatment.
  • Help medical and surgical patients deal with illnesses or injuries.
  • Evaluate service members returning from deployment to screen for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury; diagnose and treat as indicated.
  • Interview patients and review medical and social case histories.
  • Provide neuropsychological and psychological testing as indicated.
  • Provide psycho educational briefings to commands and patient groups as requested.
  • Assist in coordinating and providing referrals for higher levels of care for mental and substance related disorders.
  • Evaluate and treat or refer service members for acute emergent conditions to ensure the patient’s continued safety and wellbeing.
  • Provide evaluation for suitability and fitness for duty as regards administrative separation and, clinical intervention techniques directed toward treating the emotional conflicts, personality disturbances, and skill deficiencies underlying a person’s distress and dysfunction.
  • Participate in peer review programs at BHC Fort Worth, TX.

GENERAL DUTIES.

  • Contractor personnel shall perform a full range of duties consistent with their labor category, education, training, experience, clinical privileges (as applicable), and assigned position.
  • Maintain a level of productivity comparable with that of other individuals performing similar services. 
  • Participate in peer review and performance improvement activities.
  • Practice aseptic techniques as necessary.  Comply with infection control guidelines to include the proper handling, storage, and disposal of infectious wastes, and the use of universal precautions to prevent the spread of infection. 
  • Function with an awareness and application of safety procedures.
  • Perform efficiently in emergency patient situations following established protocols, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events.  Anticipate potential problems/emergencies and make appropriate interventions.  Notify supervisor, director, or other designated person regarding problems that the HCW is unable to manage.
  • Apply an awareness of legal issues in all aspects of patient care and strive to manage situations in a reduced risk manner.
  • Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed.  Participation shall include, but not be limited to, appropriate medical examination, documentation, and reporting.
  • Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient/significant others' rights, as identified within the MTF.
  • Maintain an awareness of responsibility and accountability for own professional practice.
  • Participate in continuing education to meet own professional growth.
  • Attend and/or comply with all annual training classes required by the Command, to include but not limited to online annual training provided by the MTF: disaster training, infection control, Sexual Harassment, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire and Safety, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE), and all other required training.
  • Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program.  Participate in meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.
  • Participate in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members.  Provide training and/or direction as applicable to supporting government employe­es (e.g., hospital corpsmen, students, etc.).
  • Attend and participate in various meetings as directed.
  • Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care.
  • Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Experience:  Possess at least two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist utilizing neuropsychological testing within the preceding five (5) years.
  •  
  • Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
  • Letters of Recommendation:  Provide two (2) letters of recommendation written within the preceding two (2) years from practicing providers, supervisors or program administrators attesting to the HCW’s professional skills, competencies, patient rapport, training abilities, etc. Recommendation letters must include; name, title, phone number, date of recommendation, address and signature of the individual providing the recommendation.
  • Other Certifications: BLS through American Heart Association
  • U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program as directed.  Participation shall include, but not be limited to, appropriate medical examination, documentation, and reporting.
  • Exercise awareness and sensitivity to patient/significant others' rights, as identified within the MTF.
  • Maintain an awareness of responsibility and accountability for own professional practice.
  • Participate in continuing education to meet own professional growth.
  • Attend and/or comply with all annual training classes required by the Command, to include but not limited to online annual training provided by the MTF: disaster training, infection control, Sexual Harassment, Bloodborne Pathogens, Fire and Safety, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE), and all other required training.
  • Actively participate in the command’s Performance Improvement Program.  Participate in meetings to review and evaluate the care provided to patients, identify opportunities to improve the care delivered, and recommend corrective action when problems exist.
  • Participate in the provision of in-service training to clinic staff members.  Provide training and/or direction as applicable to supporting government employe­es (e.g., hospital corpsmen, students, etc.).
  • Attend and participate in various meetings as directed.
  • Perform timely, accurate, and concise documentation of patient care.
  • Operate and manipulate automated systems such as CHCS, AHLTA, ADS, Essentris, and Clinical Information System (CIS), participate in clinical staff Performance Improvement (PI) and Risk

POSITION QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Degree: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).
  • Education: Graduate from an American Psychology Association accredited college or university with a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology.
  • Experience:  Possess at least two (2) years of experience as a Clinical Psychologist utilizing neuropsychological testing within the preceding five (5) years.
  •  
  • Internship/Residency: Successful completion from an internship in psychology accredited by the American Psychological Association.
  • Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a psychologist in any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico or US Virgin Islands.
  • Letters of Recommendation:  Provide two (2) letters of recommendation written within the preceding two (2) years from practicing providers, supervisors or program administrators attesting to the HCW’s professional skills, competencies, patient rapport, training abilities, etc. Recommendation letters must include; name, title, phone number, date of recommendation, address and signature of the individual providing the recommendation.
  • Other Certifications: BLS through American Heart Association
  • U.S. Citizenship: HCWs performing under this contract shall be U.S. citizens.
